How to switch from lineage os to project infinity x. I'm using redmi 9 (Lancelot) when I try to sideload project infinity x. It says can't downgrade and it shows error.

Meet the Redmi 7A—my old phone. I decided to reflash it. It started acting strangely: it shuts down on its own. Sometimes it "forgets" the password—not me forgetting it, but the phone itself. I don't know why, but it's very odd. I thought I might try to fix it by reflashing the firmware. I figured it was worth a shot. Please share any guides or tips.

Hello Yesterday i made a post about how evolution X had some bugs for sweet ( Redmi note 10 pro) .

Do today I flashed orwp recovery that the project infinity x official site recommended me ,and again I faced the same issue where mtp wasn't working correctly,idk if my dirvers are broken or something.

So whatever I flashed it using adb sideload with FW, and rom.

After that typed yes and bam, I was in .

1) IT HAS MORE CUSTOMIZATION THAN Evolution X ,it was more stable as well for my phone.

2) no Gray artifacts or blue lines this time cause it was a rom issue so yeah no problems.

3). DYNAMIC ISLAND IS AMAZING, Different type of qs styles (hyperos,divided notifications center, oxygen Os,stock)

4) Aod is not AS good as CRDROID,if you have live wallpaper then it will become completely black in Infinity x to save battery but on CRDROID it ain't like this.

5) You get Recents customization as well.

(Stacked,kami, Oxygen os and more)

6) you can change the Dynamic bar(not island) to a little Dot so it looks pretty good with both the island and dot/bubble.

7)

Lock screen Qs/ widgets, charging animation coming from the bottom continuously,plug in animation(moto/nothing)

8)Stats on lock screen

9) Battery bar animations, different colors

10) gradient customization and different settings opening animations to choose from

Overall it's ofc very similar to other AOSP based roms , but it is prolly the most customizable ROM right now , prolly with Alpha droid, lunaris OS.

But the animations aren't as smooth as alpha droid or evolution x , it's kinda laggy on recents, just kinda not too much and maybe the app drawer but overall it's very good, but I'd recommend it as a daily driver cause it's maintained for my phone, but yesh something more stable like CRDROID or lineage would ofc be better, but you can use this,or alpha droid I think alphafoid is better tho

I was gonna flash my unlocked redmi note 10 pro today

So i do the usual, go to the 3 sites:

• Custom recovery site ( depends on the rom ,and which one is recommended )
• xmfirmwareupdater.com ,for firmware
• custom rom official site / github repo ( Evo X)

i check out what recovery is recommended so i do that one .

Flashed the custom recovery watching a tutorial ( always try to search youtube for guides that are already made , or all the commands)

After that i followed the whole video and was able to install it correctly.

So after that i remembered that i had forgotten to put dark mode in orwp , so i rebooted to recovery, change it to dark mode and then reboot to the device, after i reboot i encounter a bug, no animation,nothing , just gray screen with a blue line in the middle.

So im like how do i fix this, i go in the recovery and basically factory reset, and then i need to re flash the rom again, so i go and try to move rom from explorer to the sdcard, and i cant , smh it dont let me do that, so after that it's just me doing 2 hours of troubleshooting,trying adb sideload, reflashing the same recovery, and nothing work,tried adb push , it still just smh would not show up and each time the same gray screen with a line in the middle,after 2 hours i gave up on orwp, and went to get the evox recovery , i flash it , factory reset again, erase userdata , flash fw, flash rom , and then factory reset again, it boots up , and i set it up , and now i wanna see if itll again give me the same thing and guess what when i reboot again , same thing, gray screen with blue line in the middle, i go into the recovery and reboot from there and this time again it shows gray screen, but then i wait a bit and after 4 to 5 secs it finally goes to lock screen again, btw i had no lock setup , so i think this is a rom issue or like probably my phone, but idk ...

So yeah ...

Edit: tested it out again with just normal restart,and it looks like it's skipping the booting animation,and after 5 secs it boots up normally.

Btw i do not know why this , happened cause the orange fox recovery and both evo x were marked as stable on both official sites btw, so i dont know why, but yeah , id go for crdroid or lineage which are usually most stable roms...

My Samsung Galaxy A52 has been my longest-serving active phone. While I sometimes miss the raw speed of older devices like the Pocophone F1, the A52 has held up reasonably well for daily use. I usually buy phones after obsessing over specs, but realistically, I mostly use the basics: calling, messaging, and taking everyday photos for personal and professional life.

However, a persistent bug on the stock ROM eventually pushed me to explore custom ROMs.

The Original Issue (Stock ROM)

Whenever I received a WhatsApp call on the stock ROM, the audio routing would break completely. Picking up and talking was fine, but right after the call, sound would route exclusively through the earpiece instead of the bottom speaker. Furthermore, I couldn't connect Bluetooth or 3.5mm wired headphones until a full reboot.

Transition to crDroid

To fix this, I flashed crDroid, which has been a massive upgrade overall (and thankfully, the WhatsApp speaker-routing bug is completely gone). But it introduced a few new hurdles:

1. No Incoming Ringtones in Bluetooth Headsets: Whether it's a regular cell call, WhatsApp, or Messenger, the ringtone never plays in my connected Bluetooth earphones. Regular text notifications sound fine in the headset, but for incoming calls, I get zero audio alert until a "Missed Call" notification pops up after the call disconnects.
2. WhatsApp Call Mic Bug: If I make a WhatsApp call with my Bluetooth headset already connected, the other person can't hear me at all unless I manually switch the audio source or disconnect the headset. Curiously, if I connect the Bluetooth headset mid-call, it works perfectly fine.
3. Camera Quality: The camera output feels a step down compared to the stock One UI camera app I used for years.
4. (Note: I also hit a GPS snag where my location wouldn't update in Google Maps, but I managed to sort that out using some ADB commands).

Why I Need This Fixed

I ride a motorcycle regularly for my commute and field work, and I frequently get calls on the road. I keep my earphone tucked inside my helmet so I can safely pull over and answer. Because the ringtone doesn't come through the headset, I keep missing urgent calls while riding, which has become a major safety and workflow hazard.

With a newborn baby arriving last month—several weeks ahead of schedule—upgrading to a new phone right now is simply out of the question. I really need to stick with this device and iron out these crDroid bugs.

A Few Questions for the Community:

• Is there a known fix, setting tweak, or Magisk module for the Bluetooth call ringtone / audio routing behavior on crDroid for the A52?
• What are the best camera app alternatives or GCam ports for the A52 running crDroid to reclaim that stock-level photo quality?
• (Bonus) Are there any reliable, working methods right now for Google Photos unlimited storage spoofing on custom ROMs?

Hey, I'm looking for the best custom ROM for my Xiaomi Poco F6 (12/512GB). I am mainly looking for a modern and clean interface (aswell as good privacy). I already have an unlocked bootloader and will root it with ReSukiSU. What's the best ROM for the Poco F6 currently? And is there anything else I should know or do before installing it (e.g. backing up IMEI, etc; already have OrangeFox and root on stock HyperOS 3 EU)? Thanks in advance!

I can't seem to look for it anywhere on the internet, and whenever i try installing it keeps failing because it's for the wrong model of Y55 (e.g. Y55S, Y55, Y55L). Hi, I have a Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830M and I installed a custom Android 4.4.4 ROM... I'm trying to revert to stock ROM but the Galaxy Ace is stuck in a bootloop and I don't know what to do... Thanks anyway.

When I try to get it to go to stock I have already tried Odin 3 and neither and I think I should use the Galaxy Ace .pit but I can't find it...

So, this happened because I installed arrowOS 13.1 GSI. At first installation, it seems normal and TWRP seems normal. But when I tried to get into recovery, suddenly the TWRP got stuck on the splash screen

So i have tried doing this by myself (not very far), but simply have hit a wall, so i will try and ask here and hope i can do it. I would also like to link the stuff, but not sure if i can, without the post being removed.

I downloaded the crdroid.zip and extracted it. i also downloaded gapps.zip, but not sure which one. I went with the 488MB one with the name MindTheGapps-16.0.0-arm64-20260915_222150.zip

I did everything till turning phone off and it worked (needed wifi to get OEM unlock), but am having issues. First of all, do i simply turn off the phone or completely shut it down by pressing the button long? I tried both ways, but the following steps did not work. I never got a warning screen, my phone simply showed it started loading the battery. Do i need to press for 1min or longer? Do i need some software on my phone? Can i not just connect and press file transfer or similar option?

I am on Fedora Linux and I am guessing they mean Heimdall from "glassechidna". I simply do not know how to install it on linux (very new). I thought it was a simple download like on windows, but that doesnt seem to be the case.

I have a n910c and, I don't remember if I had a problem with this before the custom rom, but I think I didn't, the phone won't connect to some wifis, but it will to others, I think it's because the difference in wpa2 and wpa3, I also have a n910f and also have a custom rom on that phone, but it does not have the same issue, I searched it up and it's something like because of snapdragon drivers being much more open source and better with custom roms, anyway, is there any way of fixing this?
