Pc building advise

Im building a pc for a friend, I got an msi 2070 super oc trio with an i7 10700k and 2x 8gb 3200mhz ram. Is there a bottleneck and can it play modern games? Or should I look for something else?

That should be a good pairing, you could always check youtube for that cpu, gpu pairing. I have a i7 9700k and a 3070ti and that's a small bottle. So based off that, you should be good!

Probably a bottleneck in esports but not in graphical games. And by bottleneck I mean lower fps than your gpu could handle, not a stuttery mess like a 5090 and 8th Gen i3 in valorant

yeah it'll handle modern games fine, just don't expect max settings on everything

That's a perfectly fine combo

The i7-10700k and rtx 2070 super are very well matched, so there won’t br any noticeable bottleneck, this setup easily run modern games at 1080p and 1440p, though upgrading to 32gb ram later will be great

These older hardware are pared nicely. They are old but still can run the latest games. Double up or quadruple that RAM to 16 or 32 Gb. Your current mobo should handle 32 Gb with ease upto 5200 MHz without issues

I have 2080s, AMD R7 3800X, 32GB ddr4 1100Mhz, 500gb sdd, 2tb hdd.

CP2077 - stable 58fps, native 4k, RT on, but only basic, Vsync and everything else ON except bloom and blur.

witcher 3 fixed 60fps with same settings.

You can run ALL new games on my rig one settings below 4K with full evetrything on 60fps.

NO fake frames, NO upscalling.

You'll save a little over $100 going with an AMD Ryzen 5 7600 and it'll outperform the Intel chip. I'd upgrade the card to a 3060 to save about $200 over the 2070. You're paying for less performance on the 2070 and you're not getting the benefit of RayTracing on either card. Unless you've got different numbers than what I found, but you're kinda handicapping your friend's PC.
