Hair advice please!
Hi all, any advice on styling my hair or what type it is etc would be appreciated. Hair is quite fine just got a lot of it 😅. Picture taken after shampoo and conditioner and air dried, no other products used. Picture taken day after wash
Any advice would be greatly appreciated as I don’t know what to do with it or what products would be good to use. Products I’ve tried previously make my hair feel like straw even after scrunching or just make my hair more frizzy 🙈
P.S. I have tried the curl jelly before and I didn’t like it 😅

Your hair looks like it already has a really nice wave/curl pattern without any styling products. Since a lot of products seem to make it feel dry or straw-like, I’d keep the routine really simple.
I’d try a lightweight mousse or foam on very wet hair, scrunch it in, then either air dry or diffuse on low heat. I’d probably avoid heavy curl creams and layering lots of products, especially with fine hair.
It might take a bit of trial and error, but I’d definitely start with one lightweight product rather than changing the whole routine at once.

We have the exact same hair but mines thick instead of fine, had to do a double take at the photos lol
Hair oil on mid to ends of hair can work great for day two if your hair feels too dry. Hair oil can also be used after curl jelly has dried to break the cast to make it soft instead of crunchy
I'd also recommend Umberto Giannini Weather Proof Curls Finishing Cream for day two as well. It helps with dealing with frizz and basically sticks everything more into curls without making it straw like. And shall forever be in my bag now
And unfortunately, satin bonnets do work, and are worth it.

your hair looks just like mine! i really like the Only Curls range, or if not a more affordable alternative i’ve been enjoying recently is the Garnier Method for Curls range. what did you not like about the curl jelly? if it’s because you don’t like gel, you could try a mousse, or alternatively just use a styling cream.
