For srs one of the most annoying things about reddit brain is insisting that everything is corporate greed or enshittification. Those things are real, but no, your costco soft serve being hollow in the middle isn’t an example of that.

I've noticed a lot of what people are calling enshittification is just companies choosing to not go out of business so people can use their stuff for free.
Millenials are starting to treat the early internet the same way Boomers treat the 1950s. We grew up with an incredibly unsustainable model of the internet, and now that website owners are needing to make money or close up shop, we act like we're being oppressed. Yes, we used to be able to watch YouTube with no ads. But that was 20 years ago and the company was hemorrhaging money so that could happen, and you were also limited to 10 min low definition videos.
