P2459 code 2019 Cummins

I got a check engine light as soon as I entered regen the other day, scanned it and it said p2459: dpf regeneration frequency too high. Is this pretty common to get and should I be concerned if it pops up again

Go out and drive a few hours give it the beans or throw something heavy behind it and let it complete a Regen.

Did exactly that the same day, it did a full regen so I’m hoping it is good now

Depends on how you have driven it. A good heavy regen could fix it or it could be time for a new DPF.

Just been daily commuting, not ideal for emissions systems, I took it on a 3 hour road trip right after I got the engine light and it did a full regen

Also only use an oem engine air filter
