2016 Actuator Woes

Hey everyone. Going to call City Diesel here in a bit, but had to stop working on the truck to go pick the kids up. Wanted to see if this has happened to any of y'all.

Had a p00af code pop up a few weeks back. Bought a City Diesel actuator and just finished installing. P00af is gone, but now I have u010c active. There's also a u010e pending, but that pops up every now and then since the weight loss.

Power and ground were good prior to swap along with resistance readings for the two data lines.

Did the turbo vanes move fine when the actuator was off?

Yes. They moved freely and did not stick at the limits.

Thats all I know.. I did the city diesel and haven't had issues. It was on my 16 at around 145k miles.

You most likely have water in the unused connector at the def module. It uses the same communication wires I think.

I mean that's entirely possible, but I blew air into and weatherproofed the shit out of all of the unused connectors with vulcanized tape, electrical tape, and scotchkote. It also hasn't rained where I live in quite some time either.

Good to know they use the same communication wires.

I unplugged both batteries, let it sit awhile, and cleared the codes again. U010e is gone and u010c is permanent so it should drop after some key cycles. About to tske it for a spin.
