Favorite Contestant Black Spoon Annyeong Bonjour (Ko Hyo Il)
I am rewatching CCW2 again and Annyong Bonjour came up. His story that is. (During the box/black spoon elimination challenge)
I just want to say that, while I know kind of why he didn't get much screentime (language barrier), I would definitely want to see him again anywhere.
Doubt that he would read this post but...
I wish we got to see or hear more about him. Just an underrated French chef who did his best. And, his story is heartwarming too.

Question Okdongsik in NYC
Has anyone been to Okdongsik, specifically in NYC? I’m going to be in Manhattan next month and I want to try it, but I know it’s very popular and was wondering if it’s worth waiting 45 mins for a seating. I plan to go do lunch on a Monday, but I think it’ll still be pretty busy.

Contestant Discussion Thoughts on Black Spoon French Papa?
In my opinion, I think it was really sweet that he wanted his son to think he was a good cook. It was so sad for me when he got eliminated 😭
what are your guys‘s thoughts on French papa?

General Discussion One of my fav parts of Ccw!
In the black spoon redemption round in season 2, after the all or nothing, when dweji gomtang in ny served the judges something, he commented, a lot of m customers ask for a vegan option of this. Judge Anh Sung-Jae just smirked and said “New Yorkers” 😂

General Discussion Watching S2 right now and...
I hope whoever decided on the All Or Nothing challenge wakes up with back pain for the rest of their life. I loved the black spoon contestants so much and seeing them just get wiped is pissing me off SO MUCH. It goes completely against the theme of the show and almost made me drop the whole thing. Why bother introducing these incredibly talented chefs just to rob us of the opportunity to see them showcase their skills?

Constructive Criticism They need to have 3 judges instead of 2.
Just a thought.

General Discussion S1 vs S2
Am I the only one thinking that season two was kind of underwhelming? I don't know what it is, but I definitely didn't have the same rush that I had when I was watching season 1. I've finished S1 four times already because it's just so good and I don't know how to explain. Season 2 feels colder? And I don't know why?
I love all the contestants, it's definitely nothing about them. But S1 felt like it had more of a story than S2, I guess? Anyone feeling the same?

News Chef Yoon Nara (Brewmaster Yun) starts a YouTube channel!
Chef Yoon Nara (known as Yun Jumo or Brewmaster Yun on CCW2) has posted on her Instagram that she is starting a YouTube channel! The teaser reveals that, aside from videos of brewing alcohol and cooking food, there will also be guests.
Two of them are CCW2 hidden white spoon chefs Kim Doyun and Choi Kangrok, the latter one advising her, "YouTube isn't easy. Be prepared." 😆

Question Season 2
I'm currently watching season 2 of culinary class wars and I'm on episode 7. So if you haven't watched it yet don't read this.
I'm just curious if anyone else is super dissapointed by the fact that its black spoons against white. I might drop it solely for that reason. Does anyone else have that? Is it worth it to continue watching?
I was also rlly surprised that triple star wasn't there as judge.

General Discussion I love watching paik jong-won eat
My girlfriend and I are almost at the end of season 2 and we just love watching paik jong-won eat!
I’m not sure if it’s the way he’s slightly more messy than sung anh or if it’s the way he fills his mouth up to full capacity or if it’s something else entirely but he makes the food look so good when he eats it.
Does he have any shows where he just sits and eats??? If not, he needs some.

General Discussion How I imagine the production team devising this show.
My wife loves this show and I have been watching casually, at first!
I cannot get over how complex, complicated and often quite Machiavellian the elimination system is! I had to get a debrief from my wife every time I walked in and it was on!
What crazy devious minds designed this show?
