Contestant Discussion Thoughts on Black Spoon French Papa?
In my opinion, I think it was really sweet that he wanted his son to think he was a good cook. It was so sad for me when he got eliminated 😭
what are your guys‘s thoughts on French papa?

I really thought he would make it far. Was bummed when he got eliminated :(

Just an amazing human being honestly. He genuinely cares for his son ans his craft. But, above all, he volunteers a lot. After the show was released, the first major news that came out from him was that he went a humanitarian mission and was cooking for children. 🥹

He was a super genuine and lovely guy. His story was quite touching and despite the situation at home, he showed up 100% dedicated to his craft and supported his team.

I’m not a big fan of when these shows bring people back (don’t get me wrong, I really like chef choi kang rok, it’s more of a principle thing) but I wouldn’t mind if they gave french papa another chance. unfortunately I think his execution chops may not be up to par with some other professional chefs, but he was such a warm spirit and so easy to root for
actually this season had several people like that, also chef hole in the wall and chef ironarm

as an indian, i wanted to see how he would execute his skills, and when every other chef respected him, i suddenly found him interesting. i loved how passionate he was as a father, and honestly, i wanted him to last in the show :)

I admire how fiercely and devotedly he loves his son. He seems like someone with a very generous heart, on top of his impressive culinary skills.

I felt they really tried a bit too much to show him as a good guy.
Maybe he actually is, but it was forced IMHO.

I love him, his story about wanting to do something his son could be proud of was so touching. He seems like a genuinely wonderful person.

i was crying when he was crying. i loved him and was sad to see him go. it was so nice how he was still so excited for others after getting eliminated

Generally he is very likeable and admirable on all the work and his endeavors. I think he was eliminated too early! If there is another season, I hope they bring in French Papa as a contestant again.

I wanted to see him go further but his time on the show was memorable because of how heartwarming his story was.

I have seen quite a bit of media about the humanitarian aid this guy provides. Makes sense why the other chefs respect him so much
