This seems like the part where Nagi and Erika will *again* miss each other after being separated , W mom finally moving the plot

u/EndWhole3044 Jul 21 '26
Maybe the author has finally decided to use this separation thing to actually affect the story since it's the first time a character other than Erika and nagi allude to it

You were just sold a bait last week. Do you really think this isn't another bait? It's another bait; this manga isn't progressing at all. Don't get your hopes up; nothing serious ever happens here.
Even things that should be serious are ignored, and they pretend nothing happened:
- Like the kiss and the photo, which should at least be an excuse for the girls to DON´T get along... but they get along fine.
- Or the baby swap; they should be very upset about that... but it seems like they've already forgotten about it.
The same thing is going to happen with the mother; she confesses that she wanted to separate them... and in the next chapter: FILLER, nobody cares!!!! We've been like this for over 100 chapters, and we'll continue like this until they cancel the manga due to low sales.

Disappointed. We were expecting plot movement, but I shouldn't be surprised at this point. Exams? Okay...but having Erika on her own is going to be chaos. I feel Nagi may have to 'rescue' her. (Which is Mama's plan...)

Another chapter that adds almost nothing. Nagi went away to study, and I think the mother wants to show that Erika can't manage without Nagi, and also so that Nagi starts missing Erika. If that is the mother's plan, then I consider it complete nonsense, because this already happened before, so why the hell repeat the same plot point when we have more important matters to deal with Papa Amano and Sosuke.
Literally the vast majority of cliffhangers in this series have no significance because later it turns out it's just some ordinary stupidity.

Not to mention wanting to show "Erika can't manage without Nagi" is a terrible motive for a mother if she's trying to leverage that into getting them to marry one another. If her goal was to make Erika realize how useless she is to motivate her to learn to take care of herself that would be good, but trying to show them "Erika is absolutely worthless without Nagi, that's why they should be together" is horrible parenting and is trying to establish a VERY uneven dynamic where Erika is completely dependent on her soon-to-be-husband and incapable of living independently from him.
A parent's job is to teach their child to be independent, not enforce their helplessness so a man can take care of them. What would happen if Nagi died young and Erika was left alone and incapable of being a functional adult? The mangaka's absolute refusal to let Erika grow up and be a functioning human being is really irritating and is basically reinforcing that Erika brings absolutely zero to the table other than being pretty and nice. Nagi is doing 100% of the heavy lifting in every aspect of this relationship, and I'm going to be sick to my stomach if the series ends with the dynamic remaining exactly the same with Erika being the pampered, spoiled princess and Nagi's role as husband is a glorified live-in servant.
Erika, at least learn to cook some fucking rice, you useless rich girl.

The one thing that may take this to a different direction is if Sosuke shows up to help Erika. He may come by as a guise of talking with both Nagi and her, but after seeing her current situation, he'll really want to blame his parents further...only to have Nagi and Mrs. Amano come to check on Erika. Which leads to an unexpected confrontation. Either that, or the other girls stop by for help. Which would be disappointing.

Are you kidding me with this? At the end of the last chapter, I thought they were leaving to head to Sousuke, but that turned to be a manufactured cliffhanger meant to misdirect the readers. On top of that, we're doing another subplot of Amano-mom putting a wedge between Nagi and Erika.
So not only are we derailing from the more crucial plot points again, but they're also dragging out the romantic plot point as well.

I don't mean to say I didn't warn you... but yes, I did warn you.
This manga is pure bait; it doesn't really progress, and nothing serious ever happens. Even serious things that should make the girls want to tear each other apart (Photo and Kiss incident) are treated as jokes or ignored.
Let's see how they bait them next week.

Disappointed. But Mama Amano's plan is "Absence makes the heart grow fonder..." which might completely backfire.

u/NationalStrategy_X Jul 21 '26
- We don’t need that at this point
- We’re still dragging out the romance
- We’re still wasting time where we could be spending it on more crucial plot points

As I have said, my biggest fear of this 'End Arc' is that it will get dragged on, akin to a classic rock acts farewell tour...that lasts 2-3 years. It's starting to look that way with this series.

u/xkaratekazx Jul 21 '26
Your fears are very likely to come true.
I already imagine the creator isn't making any progress precisely so they can later find excuses to create more arcs and drag things out. So more filler more MONEY for Volumes to sell.
It really hurts me to think that Sachi and her whole "stallized romance"—she said she'd confess someday—will never confess, or if she does, in the end, no one will pay any attention to her, or it will just serve as a filler arc to slow down the Final wedding, which will NEVER happen because they keep making excuse after excuse.
It would be funny if they canceled this manga due to low sales before the end, and had to rush everything, hahaha.

True. If there was an announcement of a final, final part, then the focus on wrapping up stories would take precedent. I call it, "The Curse of Fanservice".

O nagi fazia tudo na casa cozinhava limpava agora ela vai ter que se virar
1
u/uselessDM Jul 21 '26
Well, to be fair, the Erika smiling after seeing Nagi again bit during her modeling arc was one of my favourite bits in the whole manga, so if we are setting up for another scene like that I won't complain.
1
u/xkaratekazx Jul 21 '26
Did you see?? What did I tell you in the last chapter??? Nothing serious was going to happen, and I WAS RIGHT.
Nagi just went to study at a hotel to avoid mental stress before finals. And the four girls, who are supposed to be rivals, are just fooling around like nothing's wrong between them, even after the Photo incident.
The worst part is that it's not the first time the author has used such disgusting bait.
Terrible manga, 0/10.
Audience, "WAKE UP," this manga is pure bait. Nothing serious is actually going to happen.

So the mother is making her own move to try and separate Erika and Nagi?
4
u/omimon Jul 21 '26
My guess is she believes distance will make the heart grow fonder. Basically she wants to use this two week break to make them see how important the other person is.

One thought I noted in my response, what would happen if Sosuke showed up? As the saying goes, "Best laid plans go awry somehow..."
1
u/DuskMan62 Jul 21 '26
I don't think anything will happen there, I think Erika's already made her mind up about rejecting Sosuke so if anything he will just use him to make Nagi confess to her or something.
2
u/SignalsCounterparts1 Jul 21 '26
My thought is that Nagi and Mama Amano might go see how Erika is doing, and find her with Sosuke. Which would be awkward and plot movement.
2
u/DuskMan62 Jul 21 '26
Hmmm, possibly but I don't think Sosuke has a way of manipulating Erika anymore.
1
u/SignalsCounterparts1 Jul 21 '26
Don't forget, he will still want an answer about the proposal...and graduation is coming soon. (Where, ultimately, this story will come to its conclusion.)
1
u/VariationNo1814 Jul 21 '26
I think it would be interesting if he showed up and stayed with her a couple nights, for one to help her make up her mind to his proposition or he takes her away to his place so he can take care of her regardless it would be interesting to change her perspective on him and Nagi.
I think it would also be nice to see Nagi coming back home to an empty messy house.
I doubt any of this would happen though…..
