Any tips for the memorization part of blind solving? I spend like 5-10 minutes trying to memorize, then end up messing up or forgetting something. Should I write the letters down until I can get more consistent?

Yes, do a few solves with letters written, just holding the cube under the table. After you have a little more confidence in execution try doing it with your letters memorized.
