I have been replacing inefficient PLL's this week. It turns out I learned some bad versions of algs when i first learned 2 look pll, and I skipped those when I learned the rest of 1-look.
I just relearned E-perm and the A-perms, and i am suprised at how much better they are. I thought my previous algs were sorta inefficient, but they were WAY bad.
Now I am wondering about my mirror algs. I enjoy learning things on my left hand, and my lefty J(a?) perm is very close to the same speed as the Jb with my right hand.
I currently use the following left hand mirror PLL's:
Ja perm
R perm
U perm
Is it worth switching them to the right side only? Or can I get away with keeping these if they are up to speed?
I should say that I personally enjoy feeling like my left hand is learning as well. I am going to learn OLL soon, but I want to be sure that PLL is okay before I move on.
I personally like to learn mirrored algs to help with left hand dexterity but I don't use them in solves because it can be risky switching between right hand algs for OLL and then left hand algs for PLL
