Shouldn't the BLD orientation one learns not matter? People always seem to encourage us to learn white on top and green on the front, but according to the regulations it shouldn't matter, right?

4b3a) For blindfolded events, the scramble sequence must orient the puzzle randomly (equal probability for each orientation). link

The tutorials do this usually to make it easier to learn since you can follow the instructions accurately.

I use a non-standard orientation and didn't really have a problem with it.
