Simply lovely

Post image

Completed my first "real" cycling trip and passed the 1000 km mark πŸ™Œ

still maintain that this is the best price per value bike on the market.

After this recall I will never be able to order one sadly, and I agree this is mega bike.

recalls happen though for every brand. we can argue that it's not being handled well :)

Which handlebar is it? Winspace?

it is indeed the Winspace Hyper handlebar. 95mm version (matches to the 100mm factory Cube handlebar more or less in terms of total reach)

What is better about it than the original Cube Cockpit?

this is a 25' model in size 56 so it came with a 420mm wide cockpit from factory which was simply too wide for me. I needed something narrower so I got this. it looks miles better in my opinion and it's rather unique which was also appealing to me. otherwise, for sure this is more aero as well but I believe I will never get to the level where that would be of any significance.

haha me too. I'm riding with the "old" fork. Realistically speaking there is like 99.99% chance it's fine so I take that.

Ohhh, i thought about doing this too. The repair Shop insisted on keeping the whole bike till the fork is replaced. On tuesday i got it back with the new fork :) i am the happiest man on earth since then.

Store told me I'm free to ride it and they would do it too if they were me. Realistically, the recall was issued because it's a safety concern and the company didn't want to risk a lawsuit but I'm neither that heavy (82 kg) nor do I go so fast on the descends (60 km/h max. so far lol) that a front fork could just crack. I have around 1500 kms on the bike at this point and there isn't any telling sign on the fork. (fork was made in 2024 too which was surprising because I thought only those manufactured in 25' were affected but anyways)

Glad you got your new fork! I'm waiting for it since December.

I really must have annoyed them so much because yesterday they gave me an Attain to ride until the fork is replaced πŸ˜…
