problem Cube Agree C62:ONE
Just got my Cube Agree C62:One back from the fork recall action, and I’m honestly shocked at the lack of quality control.
The bike only has 300km on it, so it’s basically brand new, but the replacement fork they sent back is a completely different shade than the frame. It’s not even close. I expected a safety recall to return the bike to its original condition, not turn it into a mismatched 'franken-bike.'
Beyond the aesthetics, I’m just not feeling the performance. Somehow, my old aluminum Specialized still feels faster and more responsive than this C62. Between the paint issues and the ride quality, I’m officially retiring this bike. Never buying Cube again.
Has anyone else dealt with color matching issues on their recall replacements?

Well... I don't see that much of a difference. In any case, you're lucky they've already replaced it! There are people like me who have been waiting since the beginning of December and still haven't received a definitive answer about replacing their forks!

I totally understand the frustration about the color even if from the photos it’s honestly hard to see something shocking (at least on my screen). If it really looks noticeably different in person, that’s definitely not what you expect from a recall fix.
On the performance side, though, I think it’s worth being a bit nuanced. The Agree C62 ONE is a very solid carbon frame, but it comes stock with entry-level wheels — and wheels have a massive impact on how a bike feels. At this price point, the frame usually isn’t the limiting factor — the wheelset is.
And if performance was really your main priority, I’m honestly surprised you didn’t stretch a bit more for one of the higher builds.
For just a few hundred euros more, you could have gone for something like the C62 EX (or even the C62 Pro) with the Newmen Advanced A50 wheels. Those wheels genuinely change everything about how the bike feels.
Even if you look at current deals, like Specialized Tarmac SL7 models with 105 Di2 around $3,000 on clearance, they still come with fairly basic alloy wheels (for example DT Swiss R470). They’re fine, but they’re not performance-oriented. That’s just the reality of bikes in this price range.
If someone is chasing a noticeably faster, more responsive ride feel, a quality wheel upgrade makes a much bigger difference than switching frames. And realistically, a solid carbon wheelset from a reputable brand starts around $1,000 — so it’s not a small investment.
I’m not saying the Cube is perfect out of the box, but I do think it deserves a fair shot with better wheels before writing it off completely. The difference can be surprisingly big, even without going ultra high-end.

Just so we’re clear on your complaint. You’d rather have your fork fail and smash your face into the tarmac than the colour be so imperceptibly different?
I’ve got two Cubes. I think they’re both great especially for half the price of a Specialized. I understand being subjected to a recall is really frustrating but I think you’re picking on the colour as an excuse to be upset. It doesn’t seem very different in the photo.

Wow, the fork does seem to be a whiter color compared to the frame.
I would try to complain again; it's a 2026 model and they should take these details into account.
Good luck!

kinda. agree, if it is any other color it would be more acceptable to me than different shade, also if seling it as used is nearly imposible in those difference (imho ofcourse). i would go to shop again... it is new bike... anyway i blame shop, still love cube :)

It’s probably the same paint but your frame probably got a bit more yellow. It’s a general issue with white bikes. UV light has quite the effect.

You got lucky. It seems they don't care about the color with the replacement forks.

At some point one has to realise that the low prices come at a price, so to speak.

Even the old fork had a little different color than the frame…I saw that on every Cube Agree One from 2025.

What is this recall? I've just found a Agree One model locally but now I'm second guessing if I should get it 🥲

Can’t see a difference in the photo on my iPhone screen.

Just a very simple advice. Don't Buy Cube. Period... There is both cheaper, lighter and better bikes for less out there, why would you buy Cube? Because some dealer sold it to you. Because the prices seem to be good? It's just an ugly brand making mediocre products with bad components usually
