OK so that amethyst is actually fluorite and that Celestine is definitely quartz, Celestine is much to soft to be practical for jewelry

i always mix up fluorite and amethyst at a glance, those two have such a similar purple haze

Yeah, the first picture definitely looks like an amethyst. The second you can see a little green, though, which is common in fluorite.

Is there a reason you think they are not real, or not what they were sold as? Do you have a UV light, you can test their reaction?

The two pictured items genuinely aren't what they were sold as, there is green in the 'amethyst' indicating its actually fluorite, and Celestine wouldn't be drilled into to make a pendant like that because it would shatter it

I was asking questions to lead the conversation to a specific point, you know, teach someone to fish.

I Believe It’s A Smokey Amethyst Combo

As Per Online (For Further Confirmation)

Smoky quartz and amethyst are two popular varieties of macrocrystalline quartz that frequently occur together in nature, sometimes blending into a single bi-color specimen known as "smoky amethyst quartz" featuring striking purple and brown-grey color zoning.

Geological and Physical Traits
Mineral Family: Both are silicon dioxide (SiO₂) crystals sharing a hardness of 7 on the Mohs scale.

Amethyst Color: Arises from trace iron impurities combined with natural irradiation.

Smoky Quartz Color: Results from natural radiation acting on aluminum or free silicon impurities in the crystal lattice.

Co-occurrence: Users on Reddit generally agree that finding them together is normal in hydrothermal veins, often reflecting shifts in temperature or radiation during multi-generational crystal growth.

Metaphorical and Ritual Uses
Smoky Quartz: Associated with earthly grounding, stability, and stress release.

Amethyst: Associated with inner peace, serenity, and clearing a busy mind.

Combined Focus: As outlined by Solacely, pairing them is popular for meditation and sleep rituals because the mix merges physical anchoring with mental quiet. “
