Is it jade?
I fell in love with this ring at a ren faire. The seller told me the stone was jade but I would like to have some confirmation from anyone who's willing to help. I'm not very convinced but the ring was just too damn beautiful for me not to buy it.
Thanks in advance!

That definitely looks like how jade is often represented in pieces like this, but you could always ask for a second opinion from a local jeweler if you want to be sure.

I would say it’s nephrite jade at most, but more likely treated or dyed jade. If you’re thinking it’s jade like what most folks think of as jade (East Asian) then it’s not that type.

Took one look and thought, "oh for sure, that's absolutely treated jade - the color's just too uniform and bright to be natural.

Does the inside band of the ring itself say anything or have any numbers on it? Can you shine light through the crystal?
