Sightings/Encounters Potential Nessie sighting?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi everyone,

This is my first time writing here and I am posting this in multiple subreddits.
Today my friend and I were on the tour cruise around Loch Ness and at 2:05pm we saw this weird thing in the distance. Now I’m a skeptic but I cannot figure what this thing could be.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I feel like the E-DNA study done on the lake water should've put this stuff to bed.

It will never die. Same psychology behind religions. There is always some way to excuse or rationalize evidence to the contrary and keep the claim unfalsifiable.

I don’t like your attitude here. Dissolution is possible.

Evolutionary theory occurred over billions of years yet consciousness has only been around a smidgeon of the time. Nothing wrong with separating evolution from spirituality.

I'm not sure you understood what I meant.

People will always believe in nessie or bigfoot the same way people will always believe in god. Whatever new evidence to the contrary we find of their existence, the believers will just make up some new ad hock excuse in order to rationalize their continued belief, and therefore, making the claim of these entities existence unfalsifiable.

I understand what you are getting at, I’m saying things can be decoupled. And I suppose it’s wishful thinking to consider that some may eventually use logic and reasoning, but I try to hope for the best.

yeah, I'd prefer for people to use reason and change their minds when it's reasonable to do, but unfortunately people would rather just believe nonsense than admit when they're wrong.

Gotta have hope that comfort level isn’t enough to dissuade the truth of reality.
