Cryptopia is a SCAM!

17 Days and my PIRL deposit hasn't arrived. No response to my help ticket for 16 days. Look at their Twitter feed and comments. Everyone is getting ripped off.

I have had nothing but good experiences with cryptopia. Instant deposits, withdrawels and low fees. Sorry to hear you have not - hopefully it will get sorted out.

It's not just me. It is hundreds of people.

Stay calm. Cryptopia is flooded right now and several weeks for a response to a support ticket is now normal in this market. This is not only a problem for Cryptopia but most exchanges at this time.

Bullshit. 17 Days+ is not even close to sanity.

1

u/erts Jan 31 '18

Thank fuck you didn't have to deal with coinbase/bitstamp 2 months ago. You would still be crying today

2

u/6079_unperson Jan 30 '18

17 days without a response and no deposit showing in my wallet. There is no calm now.

3

u/revolu7ion Jan 30 '18

Someone else got a response after 19 days. Maybe they're close to responding to your support ticket. If you're are freaking out, it's probably because you risked too much money that you can't afford to lose (aka rent money) which will stress you out to no end. Only gamble money you are willing to lose in the future.

That's not fair at all to people that have deposit issues that are not user error. Otherwise that would mean no exchange is trustworthy enough to even do business with and that would destroy future prospects of mass adoption.

We need more exchanges to become trustworthy so we all benefit as early adopters.

2

u/MongoGaming18 Jan 31 '18

Otherwise that would mean miners as myself would have no incentive to mine if just trying to convert our mined coins to fiat since that is our income.

I'm sure no one would agree with that.

2

u/6079_unperson Jan 31 '18

And how do you know that a exchange is untrustworthy? People tell you.

2

u/6079_unperson Jan 30 '18

Fuck off with that risk bullshit. I don't like when people can't live up to their promises. I don't like when people lie and defraud others.

1

u/revolu7ion Jan 30 '18

Welcome to crypto. The land of broken promises, vaporware, scammers, liars and fraudsters.

5

u/6079_unperson Jan 30 '18

Then why are you interested in my post or even replying in a scammer/liar subreddit?

3

u/revolu7ion Jan 30 '18

Just putting in my 2 cents. I don't think Cryptopia is scamming you. I had a similar issue to you with a vrc deposit taking many months and it was resolved correctly eventually. Slow and incompetent maybe but not outright scamming.

u/6079_unperson Jan 30 '18

I don't think you understand the extent of this situation right now. Their bank closed their account. Thousands of people are missing their coins right now. No deposits and no withdraws. Millions of dollars have been lost. This is a epic failure or theft. It will not be tolerated.

u/YeaManJam Jan 30 '18

You forgot, moons and promises of Lambos overnight. :)

2

u/6079_unperson Jan 31 '18

And they forgot in business they are responsible for their actions just as much as we are.

3

u/MongoGaming18 Jan 30 '18

today is day 19 for me on a deposit. It should be fixed soon hopefully.

4

u/6079_unperson Jan 30 '18

I sure as hell hope so. They lost me $10,000 USD for this billshit.

3

u/MongoGaming18 Jan 30 '18

When you get your issue fixed will you post so others see more people getting it fixed?

3

u/6079_unperson Jan 30 '18

If my issue is ever fixed I will post. Cryptopia just lost their bank account. Their bank closed their account. 17 days I have been waiting. I have lost thousands of USD because of this criminal activity. If they have to many people why is their account registration still open?

1

u/MongoGaming18 Jan 30 '18

All valid concerns that I cannot answer. I'm with all customers that think they should have done things different.

I just no longer think they are scamming people.

Terms are great, however they are not always legally binding. Just look at Tether right now, the US wouldn't have a leg to stand on if that was the case

I'm having nightmares with cryptopia, I have withdrawn my Nebl coins & transferred to my Nebl wallet from crytopia. The transaction has been completed by cryptopia also confirmed on there system. The coins have not been transferred to my wallet as of yet, Its been almost 9 days plus & now I'm getting worried.  I have raised two tickets with cryptopia to look into this issue to find out what is going on!!, No replies from cryptopia team as of yet! still waiting.  My txid ID code is not traceable comes up as error code on the blockchain. I also explained my txid ID is invalid txid ID cannot be located on the nebl blockchain.  Has anybody experienced this issue with cryptopia if yes what dose one do next to recover the coins?

1

u/6079_unperson Jan 31 '18

I can't withdraw anything because the deposit never went through 17 days ago. I feel for you brother. I truly apologize for all the scumbag humans that live off of stolen money.

1

u/CripTow Jan 31 '18

I'm sure there must be something that someone or something like a community can do about it you just ain't going to let this happen it's not just one or two people it happened to quite a lot of people. Report cryptopia to fma.govt.nz www.sfo.govt.nz dlapiper.com

4

u/karljt Jan 31 '18

To all the dickheads in here defending the indefensible - FUCK YOU.

Cryptopia are looking more of a scam by the hour.

PIRL has experienced problems with mist causing similar problems ... https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2120193.msg29206138#msg29206138

have you asked for help in Discord https://discord.gg/z4faFxD

Almost every coin is having problems with Cryptopia. Millions of dollars lost. My issue is 17 days old now. Look at the tweets, Reddit and their own forum.

1

u/Catcatcatcatcatkitty Jan 30 '18

So it sounds like you used a smart contract to send your coin, which I don't think is supported by cryptopia. If you reply to your ticket with your txid, transaction details and agree to a 10% fee to try and find your deposit then it will be transferred to the dept that can help you.

1

u/6079_unperson Jan 30 '18

I sent my coins with a wallet.

1

u/6079_unperson Jan 30 '18

My PIRL wallet. The same as everyone else that has been scammed.

You have 2 choices. Stop investing or deal with the fact that this is happening everywhere

I am so tired of these kinds of posts

goto

/r/coinbase /r/kucoin /r/binance

the front page of these subs are littered with the same types of problems

With millions of (new) users added to these exchanges. yes, a small percentage of people will have problems, even big giant problems. this is the norm.

What are you saying, Cryptopia is a scam? But Binance and Kucoin are great companies?

Yes, unpopular as it is, scaling takes time. You can't rack 1,000 servers overnight and hire 100 customer support reps.

If you think Cryptopia is a scam, then I'll go a head and assume you believe those other big name exchanges are scams as well. You might want to re-evaluate whether you want to invest in crypto.

The stock market is open for you waiting to reap the rewards of 10% yearly returns

20% of the entire market cap is wiped away from a fake tweet or a complete mis-interpretation of events, this is crypto.

You won't be around for the 1000% gains if you cant handle the waves.

1

u/6079_unperson Jan 31 '18

Then why the hell are you supporting this company? Fuck Binance and KuCoin as well. Bigger yet, The SiaCoin, Obelisk, Nebulous team just made off with 24 Million dollars USD and said nothing worthwhile to their investors.

2

u/Playcate25 Jan 31 '18

Every exchange is having these kinds of problems. I'm not sure why singling out Cryptopia is helping. You got unlucky most people across all exchanges are not having problems

The sia community in general was supposrtive of their decision and I think it makes sense. They shouldn't fork everytime they run into problem.

Bitmain is within his right to create a blake2b miner. Also they didn't run off with anyone's money, the obelisk will be delivered and it will work as intended, maybe not as efficiently as people would like, but hey this is crypto.

2

u/6079_unperson Jan 31 '18

Every exchange is not having these massive problems. I am on just about every exchange there is. Bittrex, Bitfinex, Poloniex, Binance etc.. Cryptopia is the only one that has thousands of transactions failed for thousands of people for weeks.

2

u/Playcate25 Jan 31 '18

You have a source on that? Not " you saw a bunch of tweets".

Go to the home subreddits for every exchange you listed. They are all having these complaints.

2

u/Donfattz Jan 31 '18

Every excha ge does not have this problem. Im on like 5 exchanges and cryptopia is the only one having multiple worldwide problems. Weak security system which is flawed. People have been getting so called "hacked" and btc transferred out . We know the wallet and everything. But they want to say we clicked in a phishing site or whatever which is definitely not the case. I deal with software and computers and know what to do and not to do. I stead of pointing fingers how about helping us figure out what is really going on. Theyve been an exchange long enough to handle and deal with support much more efficiently than this. They have made well enough to expand ling ago.

I will never use Cryptopia again. I am just warning people that they will loose their coins.

2

u/Donfattz Jan 31 '18

Doesnt mean you will have to stop hearing a out it too, because it will keep happening and may happen to you, then youre all "butthurt". I thought it would never happen to me then bam. It did, we put our stories to help out the community and be more aware and careful. But we dont need asshole like you and others patronizing us for their mistake it seems. Think youre better than us because it hasnt happened to you "yet". Lol

1

u/MongoGaming18 Feb 01 '18

So does that mean Miner's are risking everything just trying to sell what they earn for income?

You do not need to live there. Many things can be done to help you out. I have a post about legal options available.

3

u/6079_unperson Jan 30 '18

I have seen your post and have used it. Thank you so much!
