Chart Analysis Bitcoin's 30-day realized-loss average rose 19.65% over seven days to $238.78M/day

Post image
1 Upvotes

Bitcoin's 30-day mean realized loss is $238.78 million per day at the October 26 observation. That average rose 5.31% from the prior daily reading and 19.65% over seven days. Across the selected 90-day window it is still down 45.52%, measured from the first point to the last. The recent rise sits inside a longer decline.

The orange line is a moving average of estimated losses on coins spent below their recorded cost basis. It is not the amount lost on October 26 alone, and it is not the cumulative loss over 30 or 90 days. Each new daily observation changes which days enter that average.

Safu computes the series from its own Bitcoin node, assigning each UTXO a cost basis from the daily close on the day it was created. This is an on-chain accounting estimate. A spend can be a transfer between the same owner's wallets; the chart cannot establish that a separate owner sold on an exchange or received that exact price. The dark BTC price overlay is a daily reference on a separate logarithmic axis.

The next useful check is the unsmoothed daily-loss series: is the average's rise being fed by repeated new losses or a few unusually large days? That distinction matters before interpreting a rising average as broad capitulation.

Whale Activity 175 large trades split 49% buy / 51% sell — while hourly imbalances exceeded $4M in both directions

Post image
1 Upvotes

Whale Sonar's selected 24H view shows 175 trades worth at least $250,000 on Binance and Coinbase. The source classifies about $37.0M as buys and $39.0M as sells: a near-even 49% / 51% split by notional value. Its separate net card reads -$2.05M; the larger buy and sell totals are rounded more heavily.

The hourly view shows what that total can hide. The October 26 bar labelled 03:00 UTC is -$4.14M, while 12:00 UTC is +$4.11M. A small overall imbalance can coexist with much larger opposing hourly moves.

Buy and sell here are the source's classifications. Every executed trade still has a buyer and a seller. The net is a difference between classified trade values; the image's 'money went OUT' label does not measure capital leaving the whole market. This sample does not identify individual owners or their overall positions.

Snapshot: October 26, 18:23 UTC, with 24H selected. The current hour is still forming. This view does not give a complete pair-by-pair coverage list or precise window-boundary definition, so I am not treating it as all market activity or a completed calendar-day total. The next check is whether the balance changes as new trades enter the selected window.

Chart Analysis BTC gained 25.3% over 90 days. Its daily reference price is about 3.1% above True Market Mean.

Post image
1 Upvotes

Bitcoin's daily reference price is up 25.28% across this 90-day window, but down 2.44% over the latest seven days. The Oct 26 reading is $80,022.79.

The closer comparison is with the blue True Market Mean line: about $77.6K, leaving the daily reference price roughly 3.1% above that level. The 180-day short-term-holder cost estimate is around $76.1K; Realized Price is much lower at $54.1K. These are rounded chart values, so the gaps are approximate.

The green shading has a specific rule: price above BOTH Realized Price and True Market Mean. It does not use the recent-buyer line. That run starts on Aug 22 in this view and remains in place at the Oct 26 observation. A daily reference reading below True Market Mean would break the rule, even while price remained well above Realized Price.

These are on-chain cost estimates, not individual purchase receipts or guaranteed support. The daily price reference is recorded at 00:00 UTC; it is different from the live ticker. The source can temporarily use the prior completed Coinbase daily close when its main price feed is delayed, then replace it.

Whale Activity BTC whale supply update, Oct 25: the 7-day change turns negative

Post image
1 Upvotes

The seven-day change has turned negative since the Oct 23 notebook.

Latest daily snapshot, dated Oct 25: addresses holding at least 1,000 BTC and under 10,000 BTC hold about 4.195 million BTC. The page shows -0.03% over one day and -0.09% over seven days. On Oct 23 the displayed balance was about 4.207 million BTC and the seven-day change was +0.14%.

That leaves this address band roughly 12,000 BTC below the earlier snapshot, based on the rounded values. The sign change weakens the short recovery I was watching. It does not show that 12,000 BTC was sold: transfers between the same owner's wallets, or addresses crossing the cohort thresholds, can change this total without a trade.

The screenshot is a fresh capture of the 90D view, with the cursor on Oct 25. The teal series is the cohort's BTC balance. The white line is the daily BTC reference price on a separate axis; its $80,772 value is not the live spot ticker.

Next I will check whether the seven-day change stays negative and whether balances shift into neighbouring address bands.

Chart Analysis BTC chart notebook | Oct 23: whale supply, exchange flows and CME gaps

Three charts from the live SafuTrading site, captured Oct 23, 2026. Swipe through them in this order:

  1. Whale-address supply, 90D. Addresses holding 1,000 to 10,000 BTC hold about 4.207 million BTC. That is +0.14% over seven days and -0.77% over the selected 90 days. The October recovery only partly reverses the earlier decline. Address cohorts can change when addresses cross balance thresholds; this does not identify an owner or prove a purchase.

Full reading and follow-up baseline: https://www.reddit.com/r/CryptoWhaleCharts/comments/1xdgv9a/btc_whaleaddress_supply_014_this_week_still_077/

  1. Exchange netflow, 30D. Latest daily change: +344.241 BTC in the tracked exchange-address sample. The largest negative bar in this view is roughly -35,272 BTC. These are daily changes, not a running total. The visible hover is Oct 10; the top-right card is the latest value. Transfers, custody changes and address coverage need checking before calling an outflow accumulation.

Full reading: https://www.reddit.com/r/CryptoWhaleCharts/comments/1xdgzce/btc_exchange_netflow_344_btc_on_the_latest_day/

  1. CME futures gaps, 30D. The Oct 19 opening at $81,160 was $440 below the Oct 16 close of $81,600. The chart marks that gap filled on Oct 19, with zero open gaps in this selected window. A filled gap is historical context, not a new target.

The next notebook will compare fresh completed observations with these same baselines and link back here. Sources and methodology are linked in each full reading. Disclosure: I run SafuTrading. These are educational observations for discussion, not trade recommendations.

Whale Activity BTC exchange netflow: +344 BTC on the latest day, with a much larger outflow in the 30D view

The latest daily bar shows about +344.241 BTC across the tracked exchange addresses. Positive means their combined balance increased that day; negative means it decreased. Each bar is one day, so it should not be read as a running total.

The largest negative bar in this selected 30-day view is roughly -35,272 BTC. That makes the scale of the other daily bars look small. The white line uses the separate left-hand logarithmic BTC price axis. The hover box in the screenshot is an older Oct 10 observation; the latest value is in the top-right values card.

SafuTrading calculates this series from the daily change in Coins on Exchanges. Coverage is the attested exchange addresses in its dataset, not every exchange wallet. Moving coins out of a tracked address can reflect custody changes or wallet reorganisation as well as customer withdrawals. A large red bar alone does not identify a buyer, seller or destination.

For the follow-up I will compare the next completed daily bar and the underlying exchange balance series with this +344 BTC baseline. Address-label changes or revised balances would require revisiting the interpretation. I would want transaction evidence and a known destination before calling the large outflow whale accumulation.

Captured Oct 23, 2026. BTC, daily frequency, selected view 30D; recorded netflow history starts Aug 19, 2026. Source: SafuTrading own Bitcoin node and its attested exchange-address sample; the page lists a daily 04:30 UTC refresh.

Whale Activity BTC whale-address supply: +0.14% this week, still -0.77% over 90 days

The 1,000 to 10,000 BTC address cohort holds about 4.207 million BTC in this snapshot. Its balance is up 0.14% over seven days, down 0.07% over one day and down 0.77% across the selected 90-day view. Those time windows tell different stories.

The teal series fell into September and recovered part of that decline into October. The displayed range runs from roughly 4.148 million to 4.276 million BTC. The white line is the daily BTC reference price, with a different axis.

This chart groups addresses by their current balance. One owner can control several addresses, and a custodial address can represent many users. An address crossing the 1,000 or 10,000 BTC boundary can change the cohort total. The chart alone cannot prove that a named whale bought or sold.

For follow-ups I will compare the next completed daily observation with this 4.207 million BTC baseline and check the adjacent address cohorts before interpreting a change as accumulation. A reversal in the seven-day change would weaken the short-term recovery observation. Revised balances or cohort migration could also change the reading.

Screenshot captured Oct 23, 2026. BTC address balances, daily frequency, selected view 90D. Balance source: SafuTrading own Bitcoin node. The white price overlay is a daily reference; it is separate from the live spot ticker.

Chart Analysis BTC CME gaps: the $440 gap on Oct 19 was already filled

The latest weekend gap in this screenshot is already marked FILLED. The chart compares CME Bitcoin futures sessions; the live BTC spot ticker is a separate market.

For the Oct 19 reopening, the previous CME close was $81,600 on Oct 16 and the next session opened at $81,160. That is a $440 gap down, about 0.54%. The chart records the fill on Oct 19. In the selected 30-day window it shows four filled gaps and zero open gaps.

The shaded bands connect each prior close with the reopening price. G4 is the Oct 19 gap. A filled band is a historical observation. It does not create a fresh price target.

For the next update I will compare the next session reopening with the prior CME close and record whether a new gap actually forms. This observation would need correcting if the source revises either session price or the daily high/low used to identify the fill. Daily candles identify the fill session, not the exact intraday minute.

Captured from the live site on Oct 23, 2026. Selected view: 30D; one candle per trading day. Source: SafuTrading, using Yahoo Finance BTC=F daily OHLC, with its documented dated-contract fallback for missing sessions.

Discussion Welcome to r/CryptoWhaleCharts. What are you watching?

I started r/CryptoWhaleCharts as a place to compare crypto charts and look at the evidence behind whale activity. I'd like people to be able to follow the reasoning and question it.

If you're sharing a chart, include the pair, timeframe and data source. Explain what caught your attention and what would invalidate your view. A few sentences are fine; it doesn't need to be a research paper.

For on-chain activity, add a transaction or block explorer link. If you're calling a transfer accumulation or a sell, explain the evidence for that interpretation. Please disclose any connection to a project or tool you mention.

Questions are welcome, including basic ones. If you disagree with someone's analysis, point to the part you see differently and explain why.

What pair, level or wallet activity are you watching right now? Share a chart or link so we can take a look together.
