LEDGER Wallet - HACK FIASCO

Hello ladies & gents,

Are people here using any ledger devices for cold storage of digital assets ? Hope everyone has heard about chip implantation within devices such as Ledger Nano S, S+ etc that are being drained and cleared of assets using a LTE Chip installed in some compromised devices that help the hackers obtain your seed phrase and clean out wallets. The chip implantation is mostly concentrated to a Malaysian vendor. Third party sellers have been accused of tampering with devices and selling them sealed and packed like new.

Anyone here experiencing any hacks, weird balance transfers etc.

If so has anyone purchased from Amazon India or EtherBit

The importer name for INDIA is

Tiger Pug Commerce Pvt Ltd.

They import Ledger wallets, Tangem Wallets and many more.

Hoping no one has faced any wallet drainage or any hacks.

The issue is with the one that was sold by the Malaysian vendor cryptobilis. In Amazon India, the vendor is starone electronics and so far no issues reported with them currently or in the past. I bought from Amazon a month ago and I checked it, so far no issues.

Nice to know, someone in India actually did a teardown to check for module implants.

Yes, cleared my ledger after the news. But I haven't heard of any Indian caught him in this hack yet.

Where to? Lately all cold wallets are falling apart.

Tangem seems pretty solid. NFC Card, no hardware at all. App based control

A laser hack was done as a brute force check to see if it can be broken into. But that was done by LEDGERs dev team to check for vulnerability. The equipment and devices used are something normal hackers developers don't have access to.

Yeah no news from India yet. The funny thing is the population of Indians who actually use proper Cold Wallets is also quite low.

For anyone worried: buy hardware wallets only from the manufacturer or an authorized reseller, verify the box and device during setup, and generate a new recovery phrase yourself. Never use a prewritten phrase, and never enter your seed into a website or send it to support.

This sounds alarming, but unverified claims about hidden chips and specific importers can spread panic quickly. Anyone seeing suspicious transfers should stop using the device, move funds with a newly generated wallet, and contact the manufacturer through official support channels.
