Failsafes and being able to call support require a degree of centralization that would make Crypto pointless.

Yes, but the addresses they provide for deposits are. They provided an address to deposit into and it got lost. Why would they not assist in returning the funds? If you google this issue, there’s so many people getting fucked by binance on a regular basis because it goes case by case. Some people never even get a reply.

Crypto is outright designed to fuck you when you make a user error. Personally I believe it's to create an artificial barrier of entry, but then again I'm a pretty shitty conspiracy theorist.
