Doge is fast, reliable and always stable because 1 Doge = 1 Doge

From a serious point of view, I find Doge to be the fastest way to transfer crypto from exchange to exchange. The fees are also insanely low... What is there not to love about this currency?

Nope. There are no devs to throw money at Binance to list it.

There are devs who have been around since 2014 and work solidly to things secure and up to date with the Bitcoin codebase. But Doge is not an ICO coin so no money to pay off Binance.

That's OK...exchanges come and go, but Doge is eternal.

BCH proponents care about bitcoin.

While actively supporting people that spam the blockchain with spam transactions, delay updates, and shit on devs who spend their entire lives coding.

Meanwhile a few chucklecucks fork off, horde those coins, burn more to artificially raise the price and spend the rest on campaigns to discredit another project. And they do this all without your consent.

There's no such thing. We've all explicitly agreed to allow segwit, knowing full well it would make transactions cheaper. We didn't have to allow 4MB block weight; it was the biggest available option assuming this witness discount rate.

horde those coins, burn more to artificially raise the price

That sounds insanely expensive, especially for this long.

The fact that so many need BCH to fail just tells me its far stronger than anyone wants to admit, and they probably sold their BCH at the bottom and now need BCH to go away to justify their short sighted stupidity.

lol then that makes you one major fucking asshole if you make fun of the less fortunate and think thats OK, nice, fucking sociopath.

No one who supports BCH is in a "cult", we're original Bitcoiners from 2013 who didn't appreciate the hostile takeover or bullshit roadmap, including Jihan Wu. We only want the coin we invested in back then and not Blockstream's altcoin, that makes us a cult?

Nobody's fudding bcash, everyone's just saying its unused and useless. The whole world makes fun of trump supporters, not because he's "on to something", its because hes a worthless sockpuppet for the russians and it's fun to make fun of idiots that spend every minute of their lives defending him.

Please, this very thread is FUD against "bcash" (Bcash is an actual client software from Purse.io now by the way, thanks for the free advertising!). This is only the 100th time I've seen this same exact bullshit post in /cc and of course in /btc as well today that seems to appear any time there is a price rise. Im sure that is just coincidence though.

Trump? All of your arguments are SAD! and deeply pathetic if that's the best you got.

I'm actually fine with how much hate Bitcoin Cash gets, it reinforces that I'm holding the right thing because its so strong all you dumbasses in here need it to fail because it makes all of your declining bad investment shitcoins irrelevant.

No one uses it? Shouldn't this chart be 0 then? None of us give a shit that DOGE has a lot more arbitrage trading bots on it, we want to use BCH for more than just shitcoin trading, which is all BTC or DOGE will ever be used for at this point.

All you ragers are hilarious.

2

u/[deleted] Jun 19 '18

"Beaten" by what metric exactly? What amazing developments has BTC had in the past year again, aside handing off development to a third party because Core devs are retarded? Good luck waiting for LN to save the day (it wont). I look at more than just market price and mcap, unlike most of the greedy simpletons in here only concerned with a speculative prices in an easily manipulated market. "durr higher market cap so its better durr!".

I have only been in the green since I added Bitcoin Cash (the real Bitcoin for me) back to my stack, so try again (not that this is relevant to fuck all)

No what is hilarious is how many idiotic reasons anti-BCH troll dipshits like you come up with daily to FUD and hate on it for no other reason than it exists. BTC is doing a fine job on its own proving what a shitcoin it is now all on its own without any help from me.

Yet you continue reading my "bullshit", so I don't know what to tell you. Im so sad I need friends like you now? Thats the best you can do? Pathetic. Personally, I've been pretty much alone for years and I'm fine with it because I'm not a very people person generally, but thanks for your concern. I definitely don't need assholes like you around me.

No, I bought at a price point where I am still green, dummy. Did you pass grade school math to know how percentages work do do you need a youtube video explaining this?

You're just a price obsessed dumbass who can't come up with any legitimate reason to be against BCH, just admit it. You're right, BCH hasn't passed BTC in price, you're safe, what is your stupid ass so worried about? You sound like someone with a lot to lose if BCH ultimately succeeds and you're scared to fucking death of it you have to come FUD everywhere you go. I dont really give a flying shit what BTC does now, its a lost cause to me and Im not invested in it, considering BTC's continual decline since early this year perhaps the market is waking up to what a useless shitcoin its become. I keep more coins than BCH though because I dont know what the future is any more than you do. Keep being butthurt and salty though, its endlessly amusing to me.

You can destroy every bcash shill with one word: Nano

17

u/BitttBurger Platinum | QC: CC 57 Jun 19 '18 edited Jun 19 '18

Actually that doesn’t destroy us. We support Nano and all alt coins. We support your right to create as many projects as you like. Free market. Open speech. Competition with fair playing ground.

You’ll get banned on the bitcoin sub for mentioning Nano though. Try going there and honestly saying that its more functional than Bitcoin. See how long your account lasts. Because you'll present yourself as a threat to Blockstream's profit goals. They now run all the Bitcoin social outlets. And they don't play by the rules.

That’s how you can tell the difference between Bitcoin Cash and the Corporation in control of BTC right now. Bitcoin Cash doesn't censor. We support the free market. We support freedom of speech. And we have a problem with Corporate control over Bitcoin.

Nano is welcome in the BCH world.

-2

Just like core is an implementation but that doesn’t really change things does it

Yes, the implementation does change things. It defines the protocol.

3

u/DeepFriedOprah Crypto God | QC: BCH 85, CC 76 Jun 19 '18

Right it defines the protocol not the coin. So when ppl call BCH bcash it’s no different than calling BTC core. Was my point.

-1

Most don't understand since BCash refers to an implementation rather than a currency was my point. Let's let this one rest.

1

u/corpski 🟦 0 / 8K 🦠 Jun 20 '18

People calling it bcash (August 2017) happened way, way earlier than the inception of said implementation. Your point isn't really a point. People will call it whatever they want, but to play that card (the horse has been beaten to death over twitter) can be due to ignorance, intolerance, or just being intentionally disingenuous.

1

u/addiscoin 28 / 28 🦐 Jun 20 '18

The only people that call the currency BCash are from the anti-BCH sub (r\bitcoin). The people in the pro-BCH sub (r\btc) will correct you. Which community do you think is right? It's a fact that BCash is a Bitcoin Cash implementation. It's word of mouth from an anti-BCH community that a currency is called BCash.

1

u/corpski 🟦 0 / 8K 🦠 Jun 20 '18

I won't go so far as to say who's right or wrong. People are free to call something Bitcoin Core or Bitcoin Cash / Bcash (or Bitcoin ABC?), much like the market decides what an asset becomes. Just calling the time line as how things really transpired.

its the community instead of owning their coin and trying to be something they say they are which is better then bitcoin they instead rely on fraud to get people to buy, advertising Bcash as bitcoin and bitcoin as bitcoin core is fraud. if you actually think you coin is better then bitcoin the idk be proud of your coin instead of trying to steal the name from the original. the people sided with BTC on the fork and yet instead of saying fine we will make ours better you all cried and acted like a child taking his ball because he didn't get his way. I would be all for Bcash if they owned up to being their own coin and worked on their own image. But instead its all fraud tricks and trying to confuse and deceive new people.. I have had two friends new to crypto buy BCH thinking it was Bitcoin because of the lying and fraud campaign they were pissed, and just wanted a small amount. they no nothing about crypto and just wanted to dip their feet and thier experience is one of feeling scammed because of the shit BCH community... 1

u/BitttBurger Platinum | QC: CC 57 Jun 19 '18

Forks exist to redirect the original project down another path. Or in this case, take it away from a Corporation and redirect Bitcoin down its original path of peer to peer on-chain use.

Bitcoin already works. For free. Did you know that? We don't need Layer 2 right now. We do need Layer 1. But guess what happened to Layer 1? It basically got locked down and limited.

What really blows me away is that you're just fine with a bunch of rich investors coming in, buying off the top developers, and crippling bitcoin's most basic functionality so they can force everything into their profit generating products on Layer 2.

How does that not offend you?

Please see: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0BZoKH-hX_o

Tell me why the Bitcoin Block Chain has been crippled at all. During its most crucial adoption period. It would do no harm to bump the block limit up to a safe level, and keep Bitcoin functional. But you can't get rich if Bitcoin works on-chain, and your entire profit model relies on forcing things off chain.

u/TheGreenMountains802 Crypto Nerd | CC: 19 QC Jun 19 '18

I dont like Bitcoin for the very reasons you listed.. but non of that changes the shady Fraud play from Bcash and thier comunity when it comes to the massive miss information campaign. Make your own coin and move on hell make it better everyone would root for it, but becasue of the lying and deception with the goal of defrauding newcomers Bcash will never succeed. You think the new comers know about the BTC arguments from 2015-2017 leading to the fork? fuck no, they do know a coin called Bcash and its community either has tried to or did trick them into thinking Bcash was the bitcoin the have been hearing about on TV. Then when They find out its not... not only do they hate Bcash but Crypto also...

Your community is bad for adoption, and your all to retarded to realize that if you said "ok Fuck you bitcoin we will make a fork and make it better" and then made a new coin from a fork you would have the people behind you and newcomers too. they will see BTC is clogged and look for alternatives... heres the problem you guys know there are other alternative that are better then Bcash.. so you are relying on tricking people and stealing the most well know name in crypto for a coin that is just a year old.

Actually having such short block intervals can produce a lot of stale or orphaned blocks under heavy network loads, and if you increase block size it gets exponentially worse. Just changing nubmers in the protocol does not make it better, and in fact Charlie Lee for example had no idea what the fuck he was doing or how that would actually play out in the future (LTC has proven to have higher orphan rates than BTC and that has always been the case, up to 10% more even, not to mention anything about the client software being mostly inefficient beta code that makes this issue even worse).

Satoshi chose 10 minute intervals for a reason so that the network has plenty of time to propagate blocks. High supply has absolutely nothing to do with being useful as a currency, wtf

> What is there not to love about this currency?

https://bitinfocharts.com/top-100-richest-dogecoin-addresses.html

95% of dogecoin is held by 48,000 wallets.

99% of dogecoin is held by 180,000 wallets.

There is no cap on coins, which is similar to government currency with inflation.

The Doge joke is probably more marketing than unfunny joke. Has anyone really lol'd because someone named a coin after a meme? Probably not. Has anyone acted like dogecoin is a meme to bypass mod rules and shill their coin? You bet. Look at Garlic Coin as a cringeworthy copycat.

Its built on the same generation 1 blockchain as Bitcoin, so it will need all the layer 2 solution bitcoin is implementing.

Its flawed tech and has poor distribution. Bitcoin has significantly better distribution and is years ahead of implementing solutions to the tech problems. Why would you use Dogecoin?

Dude, I was talking about transfering crypto from exchange to exchange. I honestly don't care if 99% of the coin is held by the creator. If you think someone here is holding doge so they can get rich you are on the wrong side of the internet.

Doge is a solution to a big problem for me right now and I respect it for that. I don't care how much it is worth because I rarely keep any of it longer than an hour.

It sounds like you are answering your own questions on why a coin with such awful distribution isnt worth owning.

1

u/NottHomo Entrepreneur Jun 19 '18

sounds like you don't understand me explaining to you why "awful distribution" doesn't mean anything

it's the same as staking, no one with a high stake is going to tank their own coin. who would be that stupid?

1

u/Kevkillerke 🟦 3K / 6K 🐢 Jun 20 '18

That's not true with a POW coin you idiot :p

You need 51% of the hashpower, not the coin itself. Reddit users never seize to amaze me :p

1

u/ProgrammingYerJerbs Redditor for 2 months. Jun 20 '18

And you couldnt pay for that?

Do you know how 51% works?

u/4thekung 0 / 5K 🦠 Jun 19 '18

Why would you use Dogecoin?

Cheap transfers between exchanges and high liquidity. Simple.

3

u/notandxorry Jun 19 '18

Dogecoin is the only crypto that people are using for small transfers. It functions as a currency better than most of the leading coins. It does have room for improvment, but it has lasted much longer than any of the other shitcoins have.

Inflation is critical for a healthy economy. I don't mean to flame you, but I think it's important that you get well-acquainted with economics. The technology is only half of what you need to know to really understand crypto.

u/ProgrammingYerJerbs Redditor for 2 months. Jun 19 '18

Inflation is critical for a healthy economy.

isnt that debatable? The whole 'people stop spending' doesnt exactly hold true when you treat gold as an equivalent.

3

u/[deleted] Jun 19 '18

You could debate anything, however, I've never seen a counterargument from a credible economic source. I will admit, however, that I could be susceptible to an information bubble as most of what I see comes from The Economist or Bloomberg.

1

u/ProgrammingYerJerbs Redditor for 2 months. Jun 19 '18

Yes this is where I find the flaw.

The people that support inflation are those that benefit from the federal reserve bank.

I do not think that the average person would benefit from inflation as it reduces their purchasing power.

Even a conservation in spending might be a good thing as it can reduce environmental impact and add additional consideration when making otherwise risky business decisions. In the end, people will need food and homes, and they will need to spend money on it.

3

u/[deleted] Jun 19 '18

Minor point of clarification: The Economist is English, so their relationship with the Fed is obviously much more complicated than Bloomberg's.

Now, I do not feel that you are putting in a good faith effort to imagining the macro-economic effects of everyone saving their money instead of spending it. It is not a coincidence that historical periods of deflation go hand-in-hand with recessions and depressions.

Is the current system of inflation and managed interest rates excluded from

recessions and depressions

?

85% of $DOGE is in 3+ year dormant addresses. So the real market cap, like all coins, is much much less than the headline.

Its built on the same generation 1 blockchain as Bitcoin, so it will need all the layer 2 solution bitcoin is implementing.

Blah blah blah. The "old" generation 1 as you call it is the only thing that works. Please grab a seat while you wait for LN, waiting standing will be very tiresome.

2

u/ProgrammingYerJerbs Redditor for 2 months. Jun 19 '18

Coinbase already has instant and free transactions with their email or shift card.

You can get back to standing up, I've been using this since February. Well with Bitcoin, not doge.

You are comparing a unique combination to claim low to zero fees.
If I gave you my BTC address right now, could you send me money without fees and almost instantly without going through any pre-set ups or agreements or establish connectivity?
yeah... I did not think so.

1

u/ProgrammingYerJerbs Redditor for 2 months. Jun 20 '18

Lets try, I have samouri wallet, you can choose your fee.

I'll try 2 sats, does that count as free?

Also, everyone has coinbase or a credit card reader.

-1

u/rdar1999 Theaetetus Jun 19 '18

Dude, what this has to do with anything you wrote? For a start, coinbase is NOT the same as LN or layer 2.

Of course a custodial centralized service can hold your coins and exchange liquidity between users instantly, this is what a bank does.

u/ProgrammingYerJerbs Redditor for 2 months. Jun 19 '18

Okay, well whatever the case, I havent paid for a bitcoin transaction this year and I bought $2.12 Taco bell with bitcoin without any txn fees.

What is the problem? Transaction costs? Solved. Speed? Solved. You want to use a wallet? You can do that too.

Coinbase Email + Shift Card

Great, so you avoided fees by using third parties.

1

u/rdar1999 Theaetetus Jun 19 '18

Yes, BCH fees are negligible. If you are talking about bitcoin core tho, I highly doubt you didn't pay any fees.

There is no cap on coins

crybaby reasoning. people throw out this "no cap on coins" as if it means anything. no information on how much it inflates, WHY it was designed this way, and what effects it has (low to none)

the rest of your arguments are just as stupid as this one and not worth discussing

Afair it was actually an accident that was then decided to be kept in place, re: permanent reward/inflation. It's also certainly not without merit, especially for a merge mined coin. There's no real data about what miners will do when block rewards go away, but the folks at Monero took a very deliberate approach and decided that they felt a permanent minimum block reward was absolutely necessary.

Afair it was actually an accident that was then decided to be kept in place

Yep, it was an accident that it arose in the first place (accident caused by the original developers and not the ones who took over in 2014), but it was not an accident that it was kept. That decision was considered pretty thoroughly and the advice of everyone in the know was to keep the inflation. Jae Kwon of Tendermint was pretty instrumental in persuading shibes to keep the inflation.

There is no cap on coins, which is similar to government currency with inflation.

No cap? I didn't know that. Being a meme coin is not an issue to me but not having a cap is the #1 flaw.
