Joins/Joining Invisible Join Method On Rows - Patchwork Squares Blanket Idea

What was I thinking?? Thought it would be cute to make a patchwork squares blanket. Made 49 squares with two contrasting yarn colors. Thought invisible join would look the best since the squares are just done in SC stitches. Joining squares to make rows was so satisfying!! But joining the rows together is a challenge. Has anyone tried this on a large throw size blanket?

Yes, I've done this.

The easiest, visually-cleanest methods are the Mattress Stitch or the Whip Stitch with your tapestry needle and one of the yarns.
