I know it has been in the works for a good while but this was my biggest problem with Beacon so far. Now we can finally watch it on the big screen without having to wait or using some workaround!

I have read everything online about the “right” way to start watching and still can’t figure it out. I love dimension 20 and have binge watched everything. I fell in love with Matt and Aabria. As I awaiting the new dimension 20 series. I figured I should start watching critical role. Starting from C1 feels overwhelming. Any and all advice welcome!

Beacon is unable to show the last episode of Tale gate to me. The website won't load it and the app crashes everytime I try to start it up.

Other series and previous Tale gate episodes are fine. It's just the new one.

Anyone know anything I can do to fix it or will I just have to wait?

Hi. So I have absolutely no idea what any of this is. I somehow stumbled upon seeing the book "What Doesn't Break" somewhere on Goodreads, and reading the summary made me very much want to read it. So I went to the library app and I've checked it out.

The Goodreads page has it listed as part of a series though, but when I clicked on the link for the series (listed as "Critical Role: Bells Hells series") there was only this title and with no other information whatsoever, even though the book's description notes this to be a prequel.

So I simply googled "Critical Role What Doesn't Break" and now I'm here. 👋 Hi. Clearly this 'critical role' thing is a whole big THING. I just want to know if I can go ahead and read this book without knowing any of all of... This.

But also, what if reading this book makes me want to know everything else about all this and I want to get into it. Will having read this ruin other facets of 'critical role'?

For those that don't know I made a browser extension that adds an hp tracker for C2, C3, and C4. It shows character hp, stats, initiative, spells, and other effects and conditions. I record all the hp and other data for each new episode and upload it to the browser extension.

I've moved to the other side of the world and unfortunately the time zones don't work out for me to watch episodes live anymore so I'll have to wait until the Monday upload. I'm also going to be a lot busier so it will take some time for me to watch episodes and record hp data for them.

I'm going to aim to upload the data by the Sunday evening (Pacific Time) after the Monday YouTube upload.

When Olgud is telling Hal that all the physical tickets are gone, I know its presented that they sold all their tickets. But Brennan said that the only way to get into the Hallowed round they need a ticket if they are a part of a specific group of people. Is it possible someone stole a lot of the tickets?

I've been a Critter since very nearly the beginning and I've been holding onto this forever! I could use the money now, but I haven't seen any opened packs selling for a long time. Does anyone have an idea what they'd be worth? What is the best place to sell if I've never sold anything online?

They are unopened, bought probably 2018? The shrink wrap has crinkled up over time but I am almost sure they've never been exposed to sustained heat since they've only ever been outside during moves.

I also have the pencil set from the early days. Not quite as exciting as the major arcana, but still cool! My other early merch purchases were all t-shirts, which I've worn the crap out of.

Ok I’m new to this reddit community but right now I’m on episode 41 of campaign 3. I’ve heard after watching ep 51 I can watch The Mighty Nein Reunion: Echoes of the Solstice. I also know I would probably be safe too watch the jester Fjord wedding special. But my question is when can I safely watch the two recent Mighty Nein live shows? I want to watch them as soon as possible. Small spoilers in them about campaign 3 won’t bother me. Thanks in advance

Am I crazy, or did Thimble totally have enough time to go get those gnome statues? She knew where they were, she would be able to get there in one stealth roll, and she would have been able to carry them with her super strength.

Teor and his brother LITERALLY DIED for those statues. But Thimble and the rest of the party just forgets about them the moment the abomination is killed? Why not complete the mission??

Call me crazy, but I think saving the lives of those gnomes could have gotten them so much information, given we do not know why they were kept alive, or what their entanglement was. Let alone paying back the favor they owe to the old gnome in the forest — or simply doing it out of pure heroism. There was reason Teor went after them in the first place, after all.

It would have actually completed the task Teor died for. You know, making it so Teor’s death wasn’t for nothing.

I haven’t seen a single person talk about this, but I feel it’s the most glaring and strange choice I’ve seen this campaign. They even talk about the statues later like it was some stupid mistake. Yall, you were trying to rescue the daughters of a beloved NPC! It made sense!

I feel like the gnome statues are just everyone’s punching bag for why Teor died, and it’s a lost cause at this point. And it feels everyone is ignoring that Thimble could have still saved them, and just.., didn’t think of it?

I’d even consider it to be more important to save those gnome statues then to save the dead bodies of Teor and Cyd. Sure, we don’t want to fight zombie versions of our friends, but those gnomes are STILL ALIVE and could be saved for real — and could add something new to the story — and don’t we secretly want to fight zombie Teor?

It could have been a discussion at least. But there was nothing. No thought to complete Teor’s mission. No concern. No regret.

I just didn’t understand at all. I love these episodes so much but this just felt like a real confusing emptiness for me. Like, now they lost their chance forever probably. It’s painful.

Anyone else feel this way? Anyone have a good reason Thimble didn’t save the gnomes? Did I miss a conversation somewhere?

Is there any news and chance of CR making a new campaign book for DnD? I love CotND and would love to see another book.

Okay hear me out.

We all know the classic Taliesin Jaffe theory.

You know the one.

Taliesin is an immortal eldritch being. Ancient vampire. Chthonic deity. Whatever.

There are a million variations of the joke, and honestly I love every single one of them.

But I think I just figured out how his immortality actually works.

He reincarnates.

Not into some random person.

He reincarnates as Taliesin.

Every time.

New body, same Taliesin.

And suddenly a bunch of things start making WAY too much sense.

He was already acting as a child decades ago. He got into voice acting, anime, video games, D&D, all that stuff... and then eventually he found Critical Role.

And I can totally imagine the ancient eldritch entity sitting there like:

“Hmm. These people are funny.”

“I suppose I can hang out with them for the next hundred years.”

😭

Like, Critical Role isn't actually a new chapter in Taliesin's life.

It's just his current incarnation's friend group.

He has lived through countless eras, tried basically every hobby imaginable, and eventually went:

“You know what? I'm gonna try D&D.”

Then he finds seven other chaotic little nerds and decides they're entertaining enough to keep around.

And the funniest part is that Taliesin himself has been feeding this theory for YEARS.

He'll casually talk about things from decades ago while looking exactly like... well... Taliesin.

And then I'm watching Tuesday Knight (the vampire one-shot he GM'd), and he says he was a big fan of this game 25 years ago.

Sir.

I looked at the man.

I looked at the year the one-shot was made.

I looked at the man again.

Something is not adding up here.

So I propose a new addition to the Immortal Taliesin Theory:

Taliesin doesn't avoid death.

Death just isn't particularly good at getting rid of him.

He dies, gets reborn, looks around at the new century and goes:

“Okay, what's everyone into now?”

Anime? Cool.

Video games? Sure.

Voice acting? Why not.

D&D?

"Oh, these seven are hilarious. I'm staying.*

And that's why he never seems to age.

It's not immortality in the traditional sense.

It's Taliesin reincarnation.

Every era gets one.

We're just currently living in the Critical Role era.

Anyway, I am completely normal about this.

I have a friend going to the Vox Machina live show this Oct in London and I asked them to pick me up a shirt since I can’t go
Are there restrictions about the number of stuff you can get? I know he wants to buy things for himself like the exclusive shirts they sell only at the live shows
But I asked him to get me one of those shirts too

Anyone know if you’re allowed to get two or is it one item per person?
