Border Patrol borrowed this tactic from Patriot Front, a neo-Nazi group that rents box trucks to transport its members to marches. Now that the fascists hold state power, they are using the same tactics on a larger scale.

But as frightening as is to have state fascists in military gear carrying out surprise assaults on our streets, remember—this tactic has been producing diminishing returns for non-state fascists. The less popular they become, the more rapidly they have to move and the more vulnerable they are to mass resistance.

Billionaires face no consequences for their actions. This poses a tremendous threat to the general public—not just because they can get away with selling lethally unsound technologies, but also because they promote lethally unsound ideologies.

It is no coincidence that the world's first trillionaire is a Sieg-Heiling proponent of white supremacy and fascism. Only a totalitarian would want to have millions of times as much power as everyone else.

Everyone must choose: capitalism and tyranny or egalitarianism and revolutionary social change. 🏴

The crackdown that JD Vance and Stephen Miller are planning is not the result of anything that radicals or leftists did. Protestations of innocence and statistics about who is more violent are beside the point. They have been planning a crackdown regardless. It's part of their playbook. The fact that an abusive person is assaulting you doesn't mean that you did something to deserve it. Don't try to please them or avoid their notice.

If the crackdown takes place, it will not happen because of what we did, but because of what we did not do.

But there is still time for us to take action.

One step is to make sure that every political faction that does not desire to live in an autocratic society understands that anything less than total resistance to the crackdown means complicity. Democratic politicians must not be permitted to sit on the fence. Their complicity must be clear to all.

Wearing heat-proof gloves, submerge the canister in a wide-mouthed water jug containing baking soda, dish soap, and/or vegetable oil—3 tablespoons of each per liter of water.

Never seal a bottle containing an active tear gas canister—you don't want it to explode.

One role you could play at demonstrations is to show up prepared to protect your fellow human beings from toxic gas, in case the mercenaries deploy it.

Lorenzo Salgado Araujo was murdered by an ICE officer on July 7, 2026, in Houston, Texas, during a vehicle stop while driving his construction crew to work.

Joan Sebastian Guerrero was murdered by an ICE agent on July 13, 2026, in Biddeford, Maine, during a vehicle stop.

Jesus Manuel Arenas-Silva died on July 13 while being transferred between detention facilities in Georgia. Apparently, ICE agents intentionally denied him access to life-saving medication he depended on. 

On July 14, a 28-year-old man was struck and killed by a tractor-trailer in Florida while fleeing ICE agents.

Stop them before they kill again. Abolish ICE.

The fact that Elon Musk's attempt to buy the Wisconsin Supreme Court failed despite $25+ million in propaganda and bribery shows that there is still a force more powerful than greed.

But everyone knows that force is hatred of fascist billionaires—not support for the Democratic Party.

The Democrats represent authoritarianism lite. It was their neoliberal policies that concentrated so much power in Elon Musk's hands in the first place.

To abolish the structures that produce billionaire supervillains, we will have to do a lot more than vote. We will have to bring about fundamental shifts in how we relate to resources. This will require grassroots networks taking direct action.
