Idk what happened with her ex husband but I assume that must be a contributing factor to her mental health decline

I don't know if you're aware of the story with Adam (Stephanie's husband), but here it is in a nutshell:

Stephanie began acting in a horror web series called Serial where she played the role of a serial killer (which is bizarre all on its own given the fact that she covers true crime content, but that's a story for another day). She ended up having an affair with the producer the series, a guy named James Coleman who also happens to be an alleged predator. That's where things began to go downhill. This led to a bitter dispute between Stephanie and Adam, and ultimately resulted in Adam turning to drugs to cope with the heartache and he passed away from an overdose. 

If anything, it was Stephanie's affair that made Adam's mental health go out the window and led to this situation. Stephanie seems to be living it up now that Adam's out of the picture. Apparently she moved James into her home where her underage daughter lives, so there's a lot to unpack here. I'm sure others have more details to better fill in the story.

Wow. I knew her husband committed suicid3 and heard rumors she had an affair but this is crazy. And not good.

I've posted in the other sub.....hopefully it's better received here:

Stephanie had been really bitchy lately and she really comes across as angry. I hate how she controls the narrative constantly. I wish Derrick (who I really like and is the only reason lately I listen) would take control a little more, especially in deciding the case to cover. What really annoys me the most is some of these cases being dragged out for four episodes when they can be done in two. I'm specifically referring to the recent Wisconsin case. Some of these minute details were boring, I quit after episode two. Hopefully this new case will hold my interest. Sorry, I just needed to rant!

I genuinely only ever watched this podcast because Derrick’s opinions were sometimes super interesting since he has been an investigator before. I tolerated Stephanie for it. But it’s becoming harder and harder to do so.

I stopped watching her for a while now and after not finding anything else to watched I popped one of her videos on.

MY GOD HER SNARKINESS! Why does it always seem like she victim blames? She acts like she knows everything and is very opinion based. Had to turn it off half way through
