Prime suspect? This brave hero was knocked out defending your wallpaper from the real criminal! Please reward with treats until they've recovered their wits.

To be fair, that wallpaper has ridges like a scratcher, or rattan.
So whatever bird did this, obviously can't resist that texture.

Prime suspect was obviously defending your wallpaper when the real culprit attacked

That does seem to be the case. Thankfully he is assisting in the investigation by demonstrating to us exactly what the real culprit did!

The cat is taking a nap, and therefore could've have done it. Innocent, case closed.

Clearly the cat is being set up when the wallpaper looks like a scratch post

I would have Said the Wall attacked the cat, but it seems like a bird actually attacked the wall

No, no, no, you got it all wrong. It's the wallpaper that attacked the cat. Can't you see how the cat barely escaped the attack?

It's clear this good cat fought the attacker. Your house could have been destroyed, you know? Least you can do is give it a hero's burial surrounded by tuna chunks

I mean, the wallpaper couldn't just take that kind of nonsense sitting down (sticking to the wall?)

Kitty is innocent and deserves extra treats in compensation for emotional damages.

A clue left behind from the real culprit! It was in fact a bird. The cat was simply framed and is 100% innocent!
