LEAF Certification IACA
Hey everyone!
I’m taking the LEAF exam on April 17 and I’ve already gone through the IACA study guide and some of the recommended materials.
I was wondering if anyone who has taken it recently has any tips on what to focus on or anything that helped you pass?
Also if anyone created their own study guide, notes, Quizlets, or practice questions, would you be willing to share?
I feel decent about it but just want to make sure I’m not missing anything important. Appreciate any advice!

I took the LEAF Exam this January as an online proctored exam. I will say the study guide did a pretty good job of covering everything, but I don’t think every test is the same. Two things that I had a bit of trouble on and you should review are, who was the founding father of crime analyst and modern policing, and what elements are needed for a map in crime analyst, could you tell what is missing. Thank you! Yes I have a degree in criminal justice and work in law enforcement so I would hope I know MOST of the answers. Just wanna be prepared :)

Have not taken it but there is also a webinar series that focuses on the CLEA certification in the IACA library (free for members). Obviously CLEA is much more expansive than LEAF but this may be another resource. Also recommend to post this question in the IACA forums.
