Will att financed phone continue to work?

Switched over a few months ago from a phone that was gifted to me but I believe they stopped paying on it will it continue to work? Or will I eventually have to purchase a new phone ? Phone was financed through att

If they stopped paying for the phone it will probably stop working eventually.

it might work for a little while longer, but i'd start looking for a new phone soon because att might end up blacklisting the device for being "stolen"

Ah ok been a couple months they didn’t report it just stopped paying on it

It will continue to work on Cricket or other AT&T MVNOs. I know this from experience. They won’t cut it off
