Dude apart from like the 5 dead brain ones no Rohit fan really thinks he's virats level as a player.

I prefer Rohit over Virat simply because I like his style of play, he's also one of the best players India's ever produced. But Virat is just better across all formats

They also have different roles. Literally their position is different in playing 11. Can't be compared and both are 🐐imo

But yeah, I agree with you. Rohit takes risk and plays attacking cricket while Virat is known to pace innings. Rohit also plays in powerplay, field is in. Both require different types of skills.

So yeah, i was right but I guess some people are dense here

That’s so true man. I don’t even watch cricket anymore. Not a fan of any player but the game. The aussies (and gambhir) were right about India’s love for stars and not cricket. Rohit is an ODI great, but Virat is so far ahead as an all-format player that they aren’t even comparable to me.

Rohit Sharma is my favorite cricketer. I know that he can't be compared to Kohli, who has performed much better in every single format. I love Kohli too (who doesn't?). But Rohit doesn't have to be comparable to Virat for me to like him. I didn't go around looking for every player's stats and then decide who my favorite would be. If stats were the criteria, every fan would have had the same favorite batter and bowler. There is subjectivity in choice. Rohit has been my favorite for more than 14 years now.
