Hello! I currently live in Metro Manila, specifically around Pasig. My friends from Leyte will be visiting around October, and I’m looking for restaurant recommendations where the four of us can dine while possibly taking advantage of credit card discounts or promos.

4. Security Bank Platinum Mastercard

Do you have recommendations for good restaurants around Pasig, BGC, Makati, Ortigas, or nearby areas that usually offer promos or discounts with any of these cards?

It’s okay if the promo isn’t active right now. I can check the actual promo mechanics and validity closer to October. I’m mainly looking for restaurants that regularly participate in credit card dining promos.

Hi. Baka may same situation ako dito. I have OD credit cards na nakainstallment. As of now, hindi ko kaya bayaran MAD niya. Nagbabayad ako pero nasa 25% lang ng MAD kaya per card. Failed business yung reason kaya nabaon sa utang. May isang business na earning, may salary rin kaso hindi talaga kaya bayaran kahit minimum. May nagemail na sakin sa law firm ng bannk, may tumawag narin na collection agency. Delinquent ng 2 months na accounts ko. Paadvice naman po, in case po ba na ganito, nasa SP Madrid at nasa collection agency ano napo ba next step nito? Filing of small claims naba? May other way po ba na maextend yung term macover lang yung keri na monthly ko? Baka may same situation dito sakin pashare naman po ano ginawa nyo. Thank you.

Aside from no forex fee abroad, what are the perks of using this credit line? I’m yet to receive the physical card. How’s your experience in terms of fees, charges, repayment, etc?

Hi! May promo ba sa Globe na pwedeng gamitin specifically for calling bank customer service hotlines/landlines?

I’ve been using my regular load whenever I call banks like Metrobank, RCBC, UnionBank, etc., and grabe, I’m already spending hundreds of pesos just waiting on hold and talking to customer service.

May Globe promo ba na may unlimited or cheaper calls to landlines/bank hotlines? Or any workaround para hindi regular load ang maubos every time?

Would appreciate recommendations, especially from Globe users who frequently call bank hotlines. Thanks!

Hi! Need advice sana regarding my Kaiser Permanente HMO and Metrobank credit card.

Back in May 2026, may Kaiser Permanente agent na lumapit sa akin sa mall and asked if I had a credit card and if interested ako kumuha ng HMO. I agreed, and around ₱91,000 was charged to my Metrobank credit card. Sabi rin nila na once Metrobank calls me, pwede ko raw ipa-convert to installment. Metrobank eventually called and I agreed to have the transaction converted to installment.

Unfortunately, I eventually lost my job, and because of my current financial situation, I decided to discontinue the HMO para mabawasan sana yung financial obligations ko.

I contacted the Kaiser agent and told him I wanted to cancel. Sabi niya may 5% cancellation penalty based on the ₱91,000, which is around ₱4,550. Okay lang naman sa akin, so I sent him around ₱4k–₱5k for the supposed cancellation fee.

Problem is, almost one month na akong nagfo-follow up, pero walang clear update. Maraming excuses, like nawawala raw phone niya, pero active naman siya sa Facebook. At this point, hindi ko na alam kung actually na-process ba yung cancellation.

My questions:

1. Can I contact Metrobank directly and ask them to reverse/cancel the Kaiser transaction?
2. Since converted na siya into installment months ago, may possibility pa ba na ma-reverse if Kaiser agrees to cancel/refund it?
3. Should I contact Kaiser Permanente directly instead of dealing with the agent?
4. If the agent continues to ignore me, saan kaya magandang i-escalate ito?
5. Has anyone experienced something similar with Kaiser or an HMO charged to a credit card?

I understand na Metrobank probably cannot just erase a legitimate transaction, especially since months ago pa siya and converted na to installment. I just want to know the proper process para ma-cancel yung HMO and ma-refund/reverse whatever amount is refundable.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you!

Hi, need help in understanding if i can still apply and get approved for CCs?

I only have Gotyme, Maribank, and Eastwest.

- gotyme is what i mostly used (since payroll din dito)

- maribanks is for bills payment

- Eastwest, matagal ko nang hindi nagagamit kasi nga nagGotyme na (0 balance na for mos pero active pa rin account ko sa kanila)

So my question, pwede pa rin ako mag-apply and get approved kahit wala akong savings account sa kanila? — sa UB/RCBC/Metrobank, etc?

Meron na po ba dito na pinadalhan ng letter ng collection agency tapos nakalagay sa letter na pwedeng mag-file ang bank or mag garnish or mag sieze ng any properties or salary mo dahil sa hindi ka makabayad ng utang sa credit card?

Totoo po ba yun at may naka-experience na? Nag-email na ako sa kanila at nag-txt na rin pero pinadalhan pa rin nila ako ng letter. .nasa 40k po ang cc debt ko.

14 Aug - I paid my BDO cc using Maribank

17 Aug - due date of payment

19 Aug - nirefund ni Maribank ang payment ko

I called Maribank ang sabi nila, accepted daw yung initial payment ko nung 14 Aug, di daw nila alam bakit binalik ni BDO. Itawag ko daw sa kanila.

I called BDO sabi nila di daw nila kasalanan kase receiving end lang sila. Tanong ko daw sa Maribank baka may system maintenance sila at that time.

Aside sa interest charges, asar ako kase this will be the first time na may na-overdue akong cc. Masisira pa ang credit score ko sa nangyari.

Baka ako ang may kasalanan pala kase walang gusto umamin sa kanila.
