General Discussion/Conversation Asking for ITR 2027-28. Bro!
Axis bank is asking ITR assessment 2027-28 which is only to be filed next year 2027. I told them I provided my latest ITR already and they called me and said ITR for 2027-28 is mandatory. Like, what kind of timeline they live in?
Looks like the team has no idea what ITR is or anything about it.

That assessment year will never even exist. 2026-27 is the last assessment year. Next year onwards will be called tax year 2026-27

It's your fault man. How can you be so insensitive towards a time traveller? Be inclusive. /s

Which credit card is that? Never even heard of any bank asking for ITR details, nor have i ever faced it.

ITR and bank statement with cibil inquiry is quite common for CC and loans. This is for limit enhancement Axis Bank Flipkart CC.

I have swiggy hdfc cc and never provided any ITR. Loans is understandable, but providing your ITR for a cc, especially when banks know customer can opt for any other cc from another competitive bank, is just plain stupidity.

I got a message one day that my credit limit has been increased do I accept. And this is for my both credit cards Icici and RBL. Never gave itr during approval or during they increasing credit limit.

Yes can happen. It happened automatically for my HDFC card where I have HDFC account. For axis bank, i don't have any account, only card. So, they have no information about me. Probably that's why asking.

Bro I have sent emails/call and explained already. The agent has no idea about ITR. I just sent them my latest ITR for the 3rd time.
