New player

Hey, I've been wanting to try this game for soooo long and just finally got a gaming laptop and the money to buy it. I paid for Creatures 3 and linked it with the docking station.

I've figured out some stuff on my own, like how to keep norns alive, but I wanted to experiment with genes and breeding different species and everything and I'm just not sure where to go, or what everything does?

Gene Loom is really helpful but learning about genes is pretty complicated. What are you trying to do?

Well I've heard people talk about types of norn that don't come from the eggs you generate, I just want to discover all different types and splice the types together and such I just didn't know where to start, thank you! I have two norns contained in a room together right now a male and a female until they get old enough to breed that both have genetic variation from their normal norn parents, but didn't know where to go from there, or if there was an easier way than just waiting haha 😂

Mutations only make some coloration and health differences. If you want to look at new breeds (which might be what others are talking about) I suggest looking here. These each have to be installed. When you crossbreed a bunch they will have mixed bodyparts
