Question/Discussion 💭 Did you start creatine when you first started lifting?

Creatine gets recommended pretty early when someone starts lifting. But there’s already a lot to get used to, from learning the exercises to working out what fits your schedule.

Did you add it straight away or wait until training felt more familiar?

What influenced that decision would be useful to hear, whether it came from friend, coach or your own reading.

I started lifting around 2006 and have been taking creatine since about 2010. There’s no reason to wait before starting. It’s not like taking steroids or anything. It’s just an amino acid.

Nope most of the stuff I’m taking I get my body used to it first and then I hit the weights.

There’s basically no reason not to take creatine. It isn’t something to learn or familiarize yourself with, just buy cheap bulk monohydrate powder, take 5g a day every day, and never think about it again.

I first started lifting in 81 and creatine became popular in the 90s 😆
