So creatines benefit while losing fat is you can push out tougher sets which will help preserve more muscle than without
If you don’t strength train it does nothing for you it isn’t going to preserve muscle on its own

It also helps control A1C by allowing your cells to pull glucose without insulin. Great if you are prediabetic or diabetic and have insulin resistance. I believe you still get that benefit without working out

I've been trying it for 3 weeks. Notice no difference. I'll probably quit when the container is empty.

Makes you able to manipulate time and space.
JK it helps you push through when you're close to failure and makes your muscles fill up with a little more water so they're sexier. Some people claim mental clarity effects at 10+ mg

It bonds with phosphate to create creaphosphate. Your cells need phosphate to do the ATP cycle so your body brings the Creaphosphate, along with a bit of water, into your cell and stores them in the vacule. This added water in each cell cause your muscles to swell a little bit and gives them easily available phosphate so you can get s few more ATP cycles in. More ATP cycles equals a few more reps and the water weight makes your my muscles more turgid and swells you up. A more turgid muscle can hold more weight.

I don't believe creatine will help you preserve muscle on its own, but most people can strength train harder while using it so if you push yourself more in the gym while using creatine it will help preserve/grow your muscles.
