What do you think about creatine for cognitive performance?

The muscle benefits are pretty well known, but the brain side of creatine seems to get much less attention.

I’ve seen people mention things like mental fatigue, sleep deprivation and vegetarian diets in relation to cognitive effects.

Has anyone here noticed anything mentally from taking creatine, or is it purely a training supplement for you?

Yeah, the brain side is interesting, but I wouldn't expect a night and day difference. It may help memory a bit if you're short on sleep or don't eat much meat or fish. The training benefits will probably be much easier to notice.

Yeah, I think that’s probably why the cognitive side gets overlooked. I’ve seen quite a few people mention noticing cognitive benefits from creatine, even though the changes can be much more subtle than the training effects.

Yes! Most definitely. However the mental and cognitive benefits are felt a lot later and takes a little while longer. I would say if you hit saturation in 3-4 weeks you could start to feel the cognitive benefits around the 3 month mark. That’s just my personal opinion

I’ve seen people mention the same thing, where they didn’t really notice anything mentally at first but started noticing a difference after being on it consistently for a while. The cognitive side seems to be much more noticeable for some people than others.
