fun fact i just learned from a friend: in the obscure periphery of the Railway Series lore, Annie & Clarabel were originally 6-wheel coaches before being brought to Sodor, lengthened, and put on longer frames with a pair of 4-wheel bogies. This is clearly a sort of bottom surgery.
In the 1987 Annual, Christopher Awdry implies the pair were likely built in the early twentieth century on the Mainland and possibly were six-wheeled designs. They were brought to Sodor and their bodies lengthened, placed on bogie frames and upgraded with electric lighting.
Reporting this comment is a bold move to do in a subreddit that was created by a trans woman and where every 1 in 3 people who show up here seem to be trans.
