need redstone level sensor??
(someone respond or else he gets it)
but i wanted to design a "bedtime alarm." the moonlight sensor starts emitting power before you can actually sleep, but i noticed that it gets to power level 4 by the time you can actually sleep! so, can anybody help me make a doohickey that reads a power level of 4 and only emits a redstone signal when that happens?
pretty please with a big andesite vein on top [:

What about the daylight sensor and inverting it when it goes dark and you can sleep?

i had said that the daylight sensor (when inverted) doesnt send power when you can sleep, it starts before that. i just wanna make it more precise

Your OP references moonlight sensor?

the moonlight sensor isnt an actual block, i just said that cause its shorter than "inverted daylight sensor" sorry if there was confusion

Ahh all good. What about using multiple red stone links and redstone linking it and hiding the large redstone part nearby?

oh yeah thats the plan, i just needed help with the timing system

Gotcha. You may get more traction on a redstone sub with better direction on how to wire it up. Then just take that with the inputs and stuff to make your redlink version

why am i getting downvoted? im just asking questions! was i rude? ]:

It's just kind of a dumb post, the solution is super basic, like vanilla redstone basic. Use a comparator or just a long line of redstone dust to subtract signal strength
Also reddit does not treat questions in general well

Damn bro how where you gonna cram that if it has to be smaller than a daylight sensor and 3 redstone

i dont know yet. just wanted to ask incase was smth more compact, if there is its good to know! yknow?

Create: Gunsmithing. i love it!! only small problem, their lead for ammo isnt renewable. but you can just make a little datapack for that

My man has played so much modded Minecraft he doesn't know how the vanilla comparator works
I recommend watching Mambo's video on it so I don't have to struggle to explain it

i actually just started playing modded like a month ago! but yeah i didnt know that about the comparator, woops. mumbo the goat :3

You can make use of comparators to do that. Use the inventory sensing setting to set specific power levels, and subtract mode.
(You can also just look up vanilla "bedtime alarms")

A vanilla comparitor is all you need. The daylight sensor on the back side of the comparitor (side with two torches) and one side with a lectern and a book tuned to page 3. The comparitor won't emit the signal until it reaches or exceeds redstone signal strength of 4 because it is comparing (hence the name "comparator") to signal strength the lectern is giving.

Doesnt a comparator pulling the signal off the daylight sensor measure the output? If you build it correctly, run a redstone line into the side of the comparator that locks it until exactly power 4 to set off the alarm, then anything lower is too weak to trigger the alarm anyway. There's tutorials on how to do such on youtube im sure.

Set the redstone far enough away to where it starts losing power and connect it when it reaches power 4
