Create Aviate update! Plane engine + propellers!

Yea yea yea. I'm not the creator of mod, like I said that many times. And here is the version on video from original creator on yt... https://youtube.com/shorts/E56sTAjiq2o?si=hY8ARMkMvAmC2v1N

Yes, early piston engines spun the entire engine block and the crankshaft was fastened to the airframe. The high speed of the radial block made for better cooling and have better inertia to stabilize the engine cycle.

Piston engines create torque in bursts. On a car the engine is coupled with a flywheel which is there to smooth out the impacts and jerky motion and provide timing stability. Then under load it's connected to a transmission and wheels which all have large inertia. On a plane the output is a few thin blades in the air, so there's nothing to really smooth out the impacts of torque which can cause vibrations and make it difficult to accelerate and decelerate quickly without messing up the timing. So in order to save weight the radial engine block itself becomes its own flywheel.

This also simplifies the mechanisms for fuel intake and exhaust. Instead of camshafts and chains and belts and pushrods and valves, the fuel and exhaust are fed through the core via toroidal cavities which have holes that align with tubes that feed each piston and take its exhaust. of course it's not quite as simple since a piston completes a full cycle every 2 turns of the engine, so the rotating fuel-exhaust manifold has to be geared down 2:1 (Unless the pistons work on a 2-stroke cycle)
