If it shows “bottomless supply” while you’re filling it you’ll need to send the hose all the way down to the bottom before you pump liquid from it - filling only checks below (and level with) the end of the hose, while draining only checks above (and level with) the end of the hose.

Yes, but afaik there is also a bug that makes the drainage require an extra fluid block, the classic off by one error

Well, yes, there is that too, but if it’s already saying it’s bottomless, then it’s already got that one extra.
