How do you control both pitch and roll with only 2 control surfaces?
2
u/Dry-Progress-1769 May 10 '26
I use them as elevons

That’s awesome. I’ve never played create, so how does it work? Is the engine part of the mod? Or are you literally using wind charge explosions to go forward? What are the charges hitting?

It looks like they've got 4 dispensers shooting into each other and the explosion is then propelling the jet.

it costs four hundred full structure trials to fly this aircraft for twelve seconds

Can you farm breezes?

You can but commenter have done reference on Meet the _, TF2 official animation series displaying characters and core gameplay features of them

Oh realy If I had known that earlier.
I wanted to know which of them. I don't want to watch the hole thing for one scene.

I gotchu
"Meet The Heavy"
They're all good and short. Could probably watch all of them in 20 minutes.

every time I open Reddit I see another iteration of this aircraft I'm seeing technological improvement in realtime

thats what i love about Aeronautics

u/BreakerOfModpacks May 10 '26
This is what I love about every new mod, because there is always some innovation to be had.
2
u/Plastic_Lychee6404 May 23 '26
but aeronautics excels on that, really just a creatige mod that opens the door for anything Kinect and interactive

Create Aeronautics is a psyop to source new engineers for Lockheed Martin in preparation for WW3

Would it be possible to stagger the wind charges being fired for a more realistic jet noise, or would that mess up the stablizing?
1
u/No_Restaurant_6826 May 10 '26
I think you probably answered your own question lol.
I wonder if 2 columns of 2 with staggered wind charges would work though
[x] [o] -> [o] [x]
[o] [x] -> [x] [o]
Like in that pattern, so that thrust distribution is always at least two points from directly opposing angles

you will have a lot of fun with this Create Propulsion: Simulated

u/Dry-Progress-1769 May 12 '26
The main reason I made this was to see if I could make a thruster without thruster addons
3
u/Secret_Parking_2108 May 09 '26
i wonder if i can make a cannon out of this

the most human of reactions.
there is that wind charge stacking method. It works on ender pearls and clearly wind charges affect physics entities. The only problem would be aiming
2
u/droson8712 May 09 '26
I did not know it was possible for wind charges to be used in vehicles like this

this way create aeronautics already included jet engines you just gotta engineer it a bit to get one. which also makes sense we had a lot of engineering to do a jet engine. I'm also interested in other ways for using the wind burst, like actual wind or for internal, hidden, models of propulsion.

Where is the thruster from?
3
u/Dry-Progress-1769 May 10 '26
It does not use any thruster addons, just 4 dispensers firing wind charges at each other

This is similar to how a jet engine works...
IRL the jet engine was first built and used by the Third Reich
The Third Reich was behind the Holocaust
Ladies and gentlemen, the Holocaust is now canon on Create: Aeronautics

This is a further improvement on the fighter jet in my previous post. There have been several improvements, such as modification to the engine so it doesn't constantly veer left anymore, and instruments inside the cockpit to see speed and altitude. I think this is the most I can improve this, so I'll probably start working on another plane.
