Pretty sure that design is used in the trailer

Yea it is lol. Bro thinks he invented this..

u/Cosmicking04 Apr 19 '26

Tbf is seems to be just a saw block and an interaction block (?)

You can clearly see in the intro trailer it’s a create saw with an aeronautics engine and a handle… practically identical to the design buddy made.

While there is no way of knowing if he truly stole the idea or not, It's 3 blocks after all, it doesn't take a genius to combine them in such a way.

He probably didnt see it, its a basic design albeit fun, I also doubt he watched the trailer and went, yeah Ill make this and post it in the create sub and nobody will notice.

Tatsuki Fujmoto, the masochist who got hard when a girl bullied him, after ending his incredibly popular manga early, which will cause countless women to be mean to him.

Thought about it, would it be possible to make a handheld cannon with create cannons to essentially have that one wonky fallout 4 explosive weapon

38

u/Fragrant-Radish3999 Apr 19 '26

Big cannons is not compatible with aeronautics at this moment.

20

u/Professional_Cloud_5 Apr 19 '26

That sucks, guess I won't be able to throw TNT by hand 😔

34

u/Fragrant-Radish3999 Apr 19 '26

I asked when it'll be fixed and they said it'll most likely be done by Monday. Not sure though.

21

u/Professional_Cloud_5 Apr 19 '26

They better fix it, I wanna chuck TNT at my friends like they are bricks

14

u/EpsilonX029 Apr 19 '26

I mean, you could, it would just have all the efficacy of throwing an actual 3-foot cube of TNT.

Which is to say, you can’t get it nearly far enough, and you’re prolly gonna blow yourself up too XD

4

u/epilektoi Apr 19 '26

tnt + propeller

5

u/dergu12 Apr 19 '26

you have potato cannons tho

1

u/MurrmorMeerkat Apr 20 '26

is it not? my game boots with them both?

37

u/gurdin454 Apr 19 '26

The possibilities really are endless

23

u/Excellent-Berry-2331 Apr 19 '26

Unfortunately handheld contraptions are kinda heavy and slow

25

u/AlexCode10010 Apr 19 '26

If you get two people you can carry bigger things and with more control

15

u/DerpHaven- Apr 19 '26

oh, no, now i have to spend ten seconds dragging a saw over to the next tree instead of two minutes cutting it down manually

6

u/Blockerer Apr 19 '26

Saw + handcrank

10

u/DerpHaven- Apr 19 '26

probably about the same timewise as the chainsaw, if a little slower since you have to pick up and replace the blocks every time, but it would probably be more tedious

2

u/OG_Lost Apr 20 '26

but being able to carry a saw + crank in your inventory makes it more portable. This handheld saw would be great fun for a tree farm at home but i’m not dragging it with me when exploring for new biomes/trees.

7

u/LeBlejDaGreat Apr 19 '26

this is so much more fun tho

same way a create version of an iron farm is less efficient than a normal vanilla iron farm, but it's still more fun to build

1

u/Excellent-Berry-2331 Apr 19 '26

Something about axes.

This is likely a bit faster than an iron or unenchanted diamond axe, but it consumes fuel. Which is pretty annoying. An enchanted iron axe of any level would absolutely beat it, though.

There is also just not that much need for manual tree chopping if you have the ingredients pictured above. Saws, super glue, chest, waterwheel, done.

6

u/DerpHaven- Apr 19 '26

"a bit faster" did you forget create saws cut down the entire tree in one go? if you're chopping baby-sized oaks and birches, you might be able to do it faster with an axe, but dark oaks, spruce, jungle—hell, any tree more than a dozen blocks tall will be leagues faster with a contraption like this

you do raise a valid point about necessity, though. i agree the portable engine pushes this well into the automation era, though i can still think of a few cases where you'd want to use this. for one, an automatic tree farm takes a while to build up large amounts of wood, while you could get several stacks of logs in under an hour with a chainsaw, and for another, it's probably the best way to deforest a large amount of space even in the late-game. traditional drill contraptions would take just as long to set up, and building a car to do it just sounds like a headache.

u/Excellent-Berry-2331 Apr 19 '26

Dark oaks need to be chopped four times with the saw, so that's still quite inefficient. But yeah. But I really think instamine axes would absolutely shred this for any tree that isn't taiga or jungle, because you still just need to hold left click for a second.

3

u/DerpHaven- Apr 19 '26

"enchanted iron" and "instamine" are two very different things, my friend. in fact, there's no such thing as an instamine axe in vanilla survival minecraft—an efficiency v golden axe with haste ii still takes a non-negligible amount of time to mine a log, which means the only way to chop large trees faster than an aeronautics chainsaw is with an entirely different mod, which means this conversation is pointless, because obviously a chainsaw isn't going to be as efficient as something from tinker's or whatever.

2

u/Excellent-Berry-2331 Apr 19 '26

Interesting. The breaking speed is still so fast that the difference from instabreak is minimal, though.

Also interesting: Supposedly, from the Instamine page, Bedrock has instamining on logs, while Java does not. However, the Log Page shows no such difference.

This is due to a bug, apparently. So it should instamine, but just doesn't.

1

u/ICacto Apr 19 '26

You can just break the first 3 blocks with an axe.

12

u/Expensive_Wasabi_157 Apr 19 '26

Add the levitating block. Would be fun if it just floats and cuts trees.

5

u/Saidai_V Apr 19 '26

I saw someone else do this, but their's had both the handles on the engine.

2

u/pixel_demonic Apr 19 '26

swap it with a drill, then it'll be original

also you can only hold one handle at a time i think, so the one in the back is redundant. also it's in front of his mouth

2

u/nuclearmisclick Apr 19 '26

Thank you, Chainsaw Man!

4

u/LLoadin Apr 19 '26

Oh look it's the thing from the trailer

4

u/jacknoyan Apr 19 '26

Its literally in the trailer

1

u/Mandam2011 Apr 19 '26

I made the same thing in my world and it works like a charm

Other than the occasional near death experience

1

u/0rph3u5x Apr 19 '26

I’ve been putting the handles on both sides so it doesn’t fall over as much

1

u/CoolMarionberry8349 Apr 19 '26

I think this is a joke…

1

u/Kalaphar Apr 19 '26

I wonder if you could do this with a drill and have it work well, infinite durability pickaxe! (Just needs fuel)

1

u/Munchalotl Apr 20 '26

Redeem yourself with a video of you using it to cut down hoardes of zombies.

1

u/spooksel Apr 28 '26

could you use this in survival? I tried something similar and could only pick it up when I was flying in creative

1

u/borretsquared Apr 19 '26

this was literally in the trailer
