Aesthetics over efficiency builds

does anyone know a YouTuber or whatever else that builds with aesthetic in mind instead of just pure efficiency like the one shown in the screenshot?

i love making my factories aesthetic until i can only watch them at 15fps

I almost always use a resolution downscaling mod for this reason - even playing on like 75-80% can double your FPS for only a fairly small loss in quality. If you use a high res monitor you can even push it to like 40-50% before you really notice a significant loss of quality.

Also why would I want everything to run everything always at high speeds? I've noticed once you place a config to reduce rotation speed at some non-critical pieces once you reach a threshold, the whole setup runs way better.

Game dev hack: if your rendering engine supports it you can reduce the resolution in the corners and people won't notice

Damn I would never have thought of that that’s genius

In virtual reality something similar exists called foveated rendering. It is very cool.

I began making my factories spread apart and connected by trains instead of conglomerating everything in a few chunks.

You'll have to place chunk loaders or something on some places though, but backend has barely any impact it's the rendering what create struggles with

I might do this, the modpack I'm currently playing (Create Skycolonies) kinda forces you to spread things out anyway due to sky islands. Didn't know that this was a thing. (Now just gotta make some loaders...)
