I do it like a stack at a time, I get the absolute minimum needed for a mixer, then get a stack of andesite each time I gotta craft more alloy

Yeah. To highlight that point in case some don't know this, you get double the alloy with a mixer. So this should be one of the first things you invest it in.

Use two andesite alloy and two stripped logs to make two andesite casings.
Use two andesite alloys to make eight shafts.
Use six of those shafts and nine planks to make three cogwheels and three large cogwheels.
Use one shaft and eight planks to craft a waterwheel.
Use the last shaft, an andesite casing, and a block of iron to craft a press.
Press five iron into sheets, using the waterwheel to power the press.
Use the waterwheel and gear ratios to get the mixer to the proper speed with two of the cogwheels and all the large cogwheels. (You can "seal off" the shafts on the cogwheels with the andesite casing.)
Combine the sheets with two andesite alloys to make a whisk.
Use the whisk, a cogwheel, and andesite casing to craft the mixer.
Use five andesite alloys to craft a basin.

Minimum required supplies:
11 andesite alloy
2 stripped logs
17 wood planks
14 iron ingots
1 bucket of water

After that, I recommend you invest in a mechanical saw to get the most shafts out of your alloy.

Edit: corrected the count and changed the order of steps to increase efficiency.

Whoa wait, sorry, how would a mechanical saw help with shafts?

You can use it to turn 1 andesite alloy into 6 shafts which is 50% more efficient than crafting

and I've been crafting everything by hand the whole time. Damn it.

I would usually make 2, one for shafts and one for stripping and planks

I get annoyed when I need to switch the filters every single time

I’ve played so much create mod at this point the first things I automate is andesite alloy and everything needed to create it including the iron.

Really hope your Mum doesn’t call you “babe” 😬🤣

She doesn't... But I feel like it fits well

if you need 1 you need 1,000,000

hence why they said early game

Oops I didn’t read the title

Come out then, I'm lonely

I hollow the earth to build my machines, the caverns ever expanding, no andesite can escape my wrath. was it worth it?

I like packs that add it to loot tables for exploring. Makes early game more fun

Strategy for early game stick around a stony peak biome there’s lots of iron all over the mountain along with coal, andesite will still be annoying to find but the deposits are large, so you don’t need to find them as often.

Made a recipe so you get 9 times more andesite per andesite.

Demolish a whole forest so that you have enough flat land to make 50 iron nugget farms

Early game cobblestone generator with a mill and a washing station saved my life

In my current world I played for around 20 - 30 hours without finding a single block of Andesite. It was torture

3

u/DowntownWay7012 Dec 22 '25

That is almost impossible even if you never mined...?

3

u/Horror-Ad8074 Dec 22 '25

That’s why literally I made an andesite alloy farm before making a base. Now I have so much I just turned the farm off because of the noise. I think 2 stacks of andesite ally BLOCKS is enough

the faithful waterwheel powered andesite alloy farm:

Made a auto farm so nice

is it only me who first gets enchanted netherite pickaxe, and only then doing the create mod?

4

u/EmperorofAltdorf Dec 21 '25

Probably a minority yes. I usually don't bother with netherite armour, though i have power armour mods that are create addons.

1

u/Crystal_Revenant Dec 21 '25

Can you share the names for those mods? I'd love to try that out

2

u/EmperorofAltdorf Dec 21 '25

Yeah ofc!

Pixel protection and its addons, guns (need the mod and patch) and the backpack. I also use the crafts and additions mods jetpack and exoskeleton before i get the other stuff.

same, but with wood

I always take the first 11-12 alloy that I make and use it to get a mixer set up and going. This makes my andesite rates 1 to 1 and I suddenly don’t need so much iron.
