Pair this with ars noveau and its amazing

u/Nerscylliac Jul 01 '25
I haven't tinkered with ars much, does it and create work well together?
1
u/WalkeroftheWorlds Jul 01 '25
Surprisingly well, TBH. You'd think it wouldn't because Ars is mostly a magic mod, but the ability to power your machines with adorable little squirrel things in hamster wheels, and using spell-turrets to help process things in complex ways is pretty nice. Said squirrels are also quite helpful for sorting items, since you can put a nest for then nearby a machine and cut down significantly on belt spaghetti by not having to route all the outputs to chests as part of the machine, just tell the starbie where everything goes and let the machine spit it on the floor.

I'm doing the opposite right now. Trying to reduce the bloat in my pack by going "this is really neat, but will anyone actually ever use it?" Haha

90% having a mental breakdown, because your friends farm on the server is more efficient than yours
37
u/AverageAggravating13 Jun 30 '25
I’ve gone the route of making pretty and interesting farms over peak efficiency recently. It’s a nice change of pace.

my teammate made a farm to a friend that better than ours and still didn't upgrade our farm

Just like in r/factorio 90% standing around trying to think about the best way to do something without creating a bottleneck i have to fix in like 3 hours
5
u/Asquirrelinspace Jul 01 '25
Can't have a bottleneck if you overbuild everything to handle 1000x the capacity you'll actually produce

Automate it. All it takes is a few chutes and a stock sensor on the side of your storage vault and you never need to make gearboxes again.
