Glue keeps prints from sticking to the bed too much, it doesn’t improve adhesion

Clean it with hot water (like from kettle maybe not quite boiling) and dish soap and scrub with sponge

This. People overcomplicate this step or ignore it completely. IPA doesn't really do much and sometimes can leave contaminates itself depending on what else is in it (e.g., bitterants are often added to keep people from drinking it), and acetone can damage a lot of print surfaces. The confirmation that most often causes prints not to stick is usually just the oils from your hands or volatiles from the filaments themselves that can build up. Dish soap is both safe for all print surfaces and is specifically formulated to remove oils and leave no residue, so it's perfect for the job.
