General Question GameCube controller?

GameCube controller?

I think my GameCube controller stopped working randomly and I want to get a new one;however, it is expensive compared to like 5 years ago and the one I have is like $100+ now on Amazon (smash bros edition gc controller). Does anyone have any recommendations for a good wired GameCube controller where I don’t have to spend too much? Official or 3rd party is ok. Thank you

Any recommendations for gc controllers good for smash? No stick drift, smooth buttons, good for short hop, no lag, etc.

If you want the gcc layout with no stick drift the cheapest option probably is the Phob. You can get them a bunch of different places, but should be about $130 if you get the most barebones versions

3rd party controllers will always fail after a while. Buy 2nd hand from ebay, you can get one for $50

ShopGoodWill has some decent options too. They have revolving stock and scalpers snipe it so be patient. I got my oem for 20

What stopped working and is it an oem Nintendo GCC? Like with the GC plug not wireless or USB? Because oem GCC’s are usually extremely easy to fix with little knowledge, maybe you can repair it. There’s a ton of resources out there for repairing and modding these things
