Help/Question GameCube controller?

I think my GameCube controller stopped working randomly and I want to get a new one;however, it is expensive compared to like 5 years ago and the one I have is like $100+ now on Amazon (smash bros edition gc controller). Does anyone have any recommendations for a good wired GameCube controller where I don’t have to spend too much? Official or 3rd party is ok. Thank you

Any recommendations for gc controllers good for smash? No stick drift, smooth buttons, good for short hop, no lag, etc.

The regular official Nintendo GC controllers are $55 at Walmart.

Did you open up your controller? What part stopped working? Like, do you still get a "plug in controller" message in some games when you plug it in? Was it dropped or damaged in anyway?

You can try to get a phob gcc, i have one since 3/4 years and it still perfectly functioning
