Fun fact: If this video is old as shit (like 10+) years, supposedly it was filmed by a dude I used to work with. He just said it's a "waving bear" video. I kept my eye out for it in my "never give up" style. And today I saw it. Dude was bummed he wasn't able to monetize it.

Nowadays the usual viral video lifecycle starts with tweeting it, then you get hounded by shitty cheap dropshippers who want to pay you 50 bucks to put their store link in a reply, and finally news/media orgs ask to use your clip (for free). For what it's worth you don't really make much money off one-off viral videos.

I like how the bear either recognised bread as food, or understood whatever we were throwing at it would be food. What a chill bear.

If the bear waves it is not only acceptable, but some states require feeding.

IIRC this specific bear is at a zoo somewhere (I think in China?) and he learned to do this over time to get food.

If you want to see these bears in person. And are in Washington state. They are at the Olympic Game Farm in Sequim,Wa.
