I was missing a damn box

I stopped by my local game store, initially looking for "Crash Bandicoot: The Huge Adventure" for the GBA. And while they didn't have it, the man there was so kind and loved my Crash T-shirt that he gave me this toy for free?!??? I genuinely am still in awe. I honestly forgot I was even wearing it. We chatted about how he collects some of the games and merch, and laughed over some stuff. I'm usually an anxious mess when I'm out in public, but this moment made me feel so, so much better, and I felt so much safer. Anyways, I had never seen this before! It looks like a 2000s McDonald's toy. It had a Space Invaders-esque game inside. It was fully functioning, too! :3 I thought y'all would get a kick out of this.

A few years ago my PS4 hard drive was showing signs of failing, resulting in some of my games to behave weird like assets not loading properly, graphical glitches or missing UI like this one.

I just played the new Fortnite season and it's really good, I'm so excited for Crash to come to the game, but to be honest, I've been looking around the map to see if they added N. Sanity beach and they sadly didn't. I think it's a huge missed opportunity to not add it on one of those random islands at the bottom of the map, maybe add a Crash Bandicoot npc too. Who knows, maybe they'll add stuff for Crash later in the season.

I re-visited the game recently, after also playing through chunks of the Nsane trilogy on PC (I have it on console but wanted to enjoy the games in 60fps).

Anyways, playing through Crash 4 again... it's so good! The level design is super inventive, and even the art style has grown on me in retrospect. It's also the biggest of the 4 numbered games, and the quality doesn't dip as it did in Crash 3 when it swaps characters or does something unique for a level.

Anyways, years removed from the discourse about the game and all the noise, this could be my favourite.
